  1. better get a move on with my current build, ironically a 1:48 Lynx KUTA applied
  2. Oh yes. Seeing as I'm a rotor head I'm thinking at this very early stage a RAF CH53 circa 1982, Bravo something or other
  3. Just stumbled across this one :-) I have for some time been thinking about using Clancy's book as a long term project. Romeo and Hammer (navy lynx and early seahawk) always appealed as an attractive duo. You also, as far aesthetics are concerned, cannot beat grey and green Luftwaffe F4 or Alphajet wait out
  4. A Phantom F4E Kurnass. put me down for 2, Airfix take note. My shelf is desperate for an Isreali and Luftwaffe F4E/G
  5. If they were thinking of re-tooling the Scout, well why not
  6. I like this colour schemeon the catalina. Looks great
  7. Jet Stream ( a totally ignored kit for too long) Dominie Puma Whirlwind (heli)
  8. I'm deffo in now, just picked one up on the bay for a couple of quid, bit different, its civvie. I hope to do a second one too if the planets align, going back to my childhood for that one
  9. Got my eye on a couple on ebay and I might even, for the first time in 4 years, revert to 1:72nd, be afraid, be very afraid.
  10. Good to see one with its wings down, very nice
  11. What are you eating Dave? been hour and half now Breath suitably baited for both kits
  12. Speaking a modelling rotorhead you can't have too many helicopters available in whatever scale. Great looking Whilwind, I'm glad you you went with a clean build, just looks right.
  13. Really enjoyed taking part in this my first group build, here's to the next. My favourite three in no particular order are Tim's Thud, dag's Blenhiem and fatboy's Skyraider but it did take me an hour to come up with them three and I've changed my mind already
  14. Great stuff, brought back 'nightmares' of winding in the 55 way cable (or cables if you were unlucky) in muddy fields, I realise rockapes didn't come off hard standings but us gunners were in the weeds Must get this kit, can you sign post me to it please. many thanks.
  15. Astonishing build, probably the best I've ever seen. Quick note on nightsun. During a demo at Sennelager in 1987 a RAF spokesman announced to my Regiment who were on Northern Ireland training that nightsun could turn Day into Night. say no more :-)
  16. I made the Matchbox Victor when I was a teenager, in about 83/83, I was immensely proud of the finish, even my dad said that'll do. It was a great kit. Havn't made the Vulcan or Valiant yet but in all probability I'll do this Victor before them, its an amazing looking aircraft. The cockpit area always reminded me of the space ships from the black and white Flash Gordon
  17. Phabulous, great finish, very clean and superb cockpit detail
  18. If they do a new bomber will it be bombing small ships as the Mossie and Beaufighter are :-)
