  1. An epic set with some truly rare types! Did the Warthog come from 355 WG at Davis-Monthan Arizona, by any chance?
  2. What an interesting collection and in seemingly good condition, considering the punishing climate. Thanks for taking the time to post them!
  3. Stunning model of one of the most beautiful cars ever created!
  4. Awesome build of one of my favourite WW2 types. I hadn't realised that the Lizzie served with the senior service!
  5. Beautiful car, excellent model, skillfully photographed!
  6. Very nice! The exhausts on my soul red crystal metallic MX-5 now have a real inferiority complex!!
  7. Wow! I love your builds! You really are a master modeller!
  8. Lovely model and a great scene. I used the same model to recreate a 56th FG hack.
  9. Impressive model and scene well-photographed!
  10. Absolutely awesome set, Mark! Hard to pick a favourite! Such a wonderful selection of types.
  11. Fantastic scene! The white water and bow wave really create a sense of drama as she races to the rescue of a downed air crew!
  12. Well, you have made a great job on a poor kit! I made it years ago as a Red Arrows bird and agree with all you say, apart from the warped fuselage!
  13. Thanks very much Pete. I'm pleased that you enjoyed them! Thanks very much, Mark! I'm delighted with the switch from my years as a Nikon DSLR user to a mirrorless (semi) Canon user! I have retained one of my Nikon bodies with a 24-120 lens until I fully switch to Canon once I can justify the second body! The only criticism of the mirrorless system is poor battery life, which is probably due to the electronic viewfinder as much as anything else.
  14. Thanks very much, Dennis. I'm pleased you enjoyed my record of a very enjoyable day!
  15. Thanks Colin. I am an IWM Member and visit several times a year, but this time I noticed tha there had been quite a few changes in the hangars.
  16. Hi all I bought a new lens for my Canon and decided there was no better place to test it than Duxford on a stunning January day! I know you've seen it all before, but here is a selection of my images from the day! The original play area has gone Testing the image stabilisation "He's behind you" (hand-held f/22 1/6 sec) (hand-held f/22 1/25 sec) (hand-held f/22 1/25 sec) (hand-held f/9 3/5 sec) This Apache did a few circuits and bumps (assuming that is the correct term for helos!), but as I only had a 24-105mm lens with me, this was the best I could manage!
  17. Thanks very much, Colin. I'm pleased you enjoyed them!
  18. Hi Paul. I'm sure that you'll enjoy it - the staff are really friendly air force personnel. When I was there, a group of very well-behaved pre-school kids were enjoying the exhibits (just visible on the elevated view.)
  19. Very realistic model of a true icon.
