  2. What a super build! I do like a Lightning. That NMF is really authentic looking. Ian M
  3. A good question to which I would also like to hear the reply to. I want. No. I need a Demon for my 74squadron in 1/48. Ian M
  4. I have seen that picture, The Uni was pulling bomb trollies away from an aircraft, (might of been a Lancaster) I was thinking that would make a good diorama.... Ian M

    Wish list

A 1/350 Ark Royal, I'd buy that. Airfix can good begin to re tool their RAF sets; refuel, recovery, rescue. Just as long as they up scale them to 1/48 as well. That is 1/72 and 1/48, don't want to upset any one do we. Also in 1/48 it would be nice with some period correct civilian vehicles from WWII. And here is the curve ball: How about sections of aircraft carriers. A lift, some of the super structures, be great for diorama/bases. Ian M
  6. Buy the Italeri one. Same kit smaller price.
  7. Oh nice, it must be Christmas!!!! If it is a rebox, I hope they have sorted the underscale cock pit... Yay. <Ian M
  8. Thank you all and especially John for his long and helpful reply. I will go and have a read of those links soon. I did find a bit about the Portee and have some suitable trucks for the job. Right then, I'm off for a read. Ian M
  9. Is there anyone out there that can suggest a few suitable options for what was used to tow a 2Lb anti tank gun in Northern Africa? Oh! Which is available as a kit in 1/35 scale Ian M
  10. Martin! I have only one thing to say. Oh My God! I now have very little will to even open the box for mine......yet. A very enjoyable thread which will be referred to endlessly. Ian M

  13. I am glad that I found this thread (thanks to a freind). I have just popped the box on the new Italeri Hurricane and intend building the McKnight version. Since your post in August, have you found further conclusive proof as to this marking being on both sides of McKNights ride. Also if it was handed or not. Ian M

    Avro 504K

Thanks John. I have even contacted the 74 squadron's website and asked this question. Not even they could come up with any thing. I guess I will go with the markings that came in the kit, (Blue Max 1/48 Avro 594k) and hope that no one comes up with the "correct" numbers later!!! Ian M
