  1. Nice kit and a very interesting subject but, the price is wrong.
  2. 8 models in just 2 months? Where do you find the time mate? Are you still in high-school? Or, you're probably rich and have the time to build scale models!! Personally, I can only work on my models during the weekends and still I have a lot of other things to do (like go to the super market, clean up the house ....). Very nice builds mate. I do agree with you on the F-14, you should have masked the camouflage but, that's a lesson for your next build. Keep up the good work!!! Cheers Sernak
  3. When I saw the first picture I thought it was the real thing!!!!! Fantastic job mate. Very inspiring! Cheers Sernak
  4. Hi Bigmick, Very nice build mate. You're writing that the Airfix F-86 is now a deleted kit. Since, I haven't heard anything about it, is there any way you could confirm this information? I'm asking you this because if it is true, I would like to go and buy one before it's too late!! Keep up the good work! Cheers Sernak
  5. I think it has to do with what "sells" as a subject and what we usually see in exhibitions/contests as well as, the history of an aircraft in a larger context. For example, Lancasters were not only more famous but also, used/served in various Air Forces around the world. Just my thought. Cheers Sernak
  6. Fantastic job mate very "clean" - very precise. It just shows to us what we can achieve without any aftermarket detail sets and when the scale modelling companies decide to produce an accurate (from any perspective) model of the real aircraft. Looking forward to see you next build. Cheers Sernak
  7. Matchbox's Gloster Gladiator was the first kit I ever build (no color paints just glue!) back in 1984. Unfortunately, the only thing that survives from this first kit is the propeller Looking forward to see giving life back to these good old model kits Steve. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers Sernak
  8. Superb job mate!!! What a nice way to spend our evenings. Having a cup of tea, biscuits, while watching your build's photos!!! Cheers Sernak
  9. Very nice, clean and 'sharp' job you've done there mate. One of my favorite subjects (and the Strikemaster !) Cheers Sernak
  10. She's looking good Tom. Though, I do worry if the landing gear you have prepared could handle the weight of the B-29. Cheers Sernak
  11. I have them both!! I didn't notice that there were no proposed colors for the cockpit. Strange....
  12. I totally agree with you Mr B. - Matchbox had managed to produce some of the finest packaging illustrations for their models. I've been thinking lately of taking some of them from the models I have and frame them in order to put them on my workbench's wall.
  13. Well, there are two things that are wrong. The first one is the fact that, I have taken the pictures with only one light source instead of two, which is usually the rule when taking pictures in a room/studio. The second one, is the fact that Hasegawa doesn't provide a specific color code for the light Green so, I had to depend on what they were describing on the painting instructions. I was interested in painting my Mig with another camouflage but, I didn't want to buy a new set of decals. BTW, the illustration on the model's box is fantastic!!! Wish I had the skills to do a similar job!
  14. Hi Lee and thank you for your kind words. I have re-scribed some of the panel lines yes. Yet, some of them were already engraved so, I didn't have to correct them. BTW, I have left the weapons' loads holes uncovered because I plan - at some point eventually!! - to place the drop tanks and air-to-air missiles that Hasegawa provides with this model. Thanks again for looking. Cheers Sernak
  15. Thanks chaps for your comments. It was actually one of my aspirations to build the Mig-27 since the beginning of my engagement with scale modelling. But, damn those Monogram models - they had always taken my time and building priority !!! Now, I would love to build an 1/48 Mig-23 with every detail set there is on the market !!! Cheers Sernak
  16. I have experience the same issue with other Airfix kits. It's really annoying and I think that it has to do with the quality of the plastic they're using - which is way too soft! When I'm experiencing similar issues such as the one you're mentioning Mark, I try to cut not the attachment point but the whole sprue. That makes it a lot easier later on to carefully remove it without damaging and/or bending it. Cheers Sernak
  17. This is definitely noted on my future buying list!! Looking forward to see your progress mate. Cheers Sernak
  18. Now that's a rather interesting kit and well-detailed. Well done Italeri and job well done to you Matt. Cheers Sernak
  19. I don't know how you've made it mate BUT the paint job is .... Now this is a Hurricane that I expect to see from up-close to the next SMW at Telford. My hats off for your work mate. Cheers Sernak
