  1. And just when you think that the 1/72 that came out a few years ago (p.s.: I don't remember the exact year) was a true gem and therefore you don't need another Buc, especially in a different scale BOOM!! Here have a 1/48 to make you feel worse and try to sell all the 1/72 Bucs you have mate!!!! Oh boy, I can hear the complaints..... "you already have so many unbuilt kits why do you want another????" They simply don't get it!!!!!!
  2. If it's true then its some of the worst news I have ever heard!!! First Model Master, now Tamiya??? Who has jinxed us???
  3. I agree, with some testing first, anyone can make it fit like a glove!
  4. I admire your strength and patience Bill and how you deal with what is happening in your personal life. I don't know from where this strength is coming from but, I do know that you have managed to develop your patience thanks to our hobby!!!! (as I have over the years) Apart from this, you are not only giving scale modelling lessons to all of us, but equally and most importantly, life lessons on how to deal with life and particularly health problems. So, stay well and keep up the good work. Cheers, Bill
  5. Theoretically speaking, do you think you can make the prototype Demon, using the Emhar kit? Cheers, Bill
  6. I can't think of right now any jet that had a similar overall size or same length of front gear leg bay,. Perhaps the Fury? Cheers, Bill
  7. The colours are spot on! I'm just waiting to see how it will all blend together; camouflage, markings, weathering. Cheers, Bill
  8. If I only had the time and the resources.......!!!!!! Man, you keep surprising us with the level of your work! Cheers, Bill
  9. Been there done that, Not intentionally though, it caught me by surprise!!🤣
  10. With all these work you have put into this kit Serkan, you make me wish I had the 1/72 Blackbird instead of the 1/48!!! Nonetheless, it's an inspiring project. Cheers, Bill
  11. Most monastic beers get a better taste after 3 years. For example, St. Arnoldus, Vondel, Corsendok, etc. In fact, some of them for this purpose have a layer yeast. But, yes, I agree, when you have good company and some delicious "hors d'oeuvres" why wait?
  12. So, no need for humans anymore huh? We have become disposables. I guess from a wife's perspective this could be something convenable - no longer the husband starring at the beautiful waitress "twins"!!!
  13. So, I presume it was a capability added much later, perhaps near the end of the aircraft's service? By the way, the pilot must had a really great view from that windscreen! Cheers, Bill P.S.: Bill, have you checked how easy or difficult it is to represent the extended slats? Does the Ginter book provides diagrams or photos that show details of the slats?
  14. I never had the pleasure to build a Catalina but from those that I've seen in various exhibitions over the years in 1/48 the kit is massive!!! Looking forward to see the next stage of your build lad. Cheers, Bill
  15. Beautiful work as always Billđź‘Ť I want to see how you will manage to replicate the refuelling probe because the one that the kit gives is just a plastic tube with a small bump and nothing more. Cheers, Bill
  16. Have you tried contacting the Hellenic Air Force museum? They had plenty of F/RF-84s. In fact they retired their last RFs back in 1992. A long shot but why not?
  17. Did you try contacting either USAF PR department or another museum that has an F-84 at display, just in case they might have it? I find it strange not to be able to locate a T.O. online. Someone, somewhere must have uploaded a copy. Actually, several copies from different T.O.s for the specific aircraft. I can't remember the website but, there used to be a site that had several manuals and T.O.s from American (and not only) military jets.
  18. The canopy is a bit on the thick side of things but, I would pay for this kit ÂŁ20 easily.
  19. Good point Martin (unless, you were joking about it) but I find it less likely to see shrinkage to the whole resin part, especially the size that the wings or the fuselage have. Rather, it is more likely to see shrinkage (or bending) in a part like a landing gear leg or wheel or just the tip of a wing for example. Then again, you never know. We can't exclude this guess totally. Personally, I live with that fear. I mean having some of my resin models, or resin parts that I have added to some fo my kits - like a cockpit - over the years to shrink and then what. Just imagine having some resin LG legs and suddenly to see the model leaning to one side!! Cheers, Bill
