In addition to my note about the Meteor FR9, I did contact Airfix via their Facebook page and asked the same question. They have replied to say that there is a delay on the release of the FR9, although they did not specify why. The delay might be several weeks, and the website will be updated when they have more information. I see that the one that was shown on eBay has now disappeared.

Thanks Dave - I will let another modeller buy the Wellington. Not of interest to me!

I wonder how he got hold of a copy?

I wonder when this kit will be released. First off according to the Airfix website it was June - but that has gone. Then it is July - but that is nearly all gone. And still no sign of it!

A P38 Lightning and F4U Corsair (?) in formation flying south east over Pulborough, West Sussex about 15 minutes ago - possibly going to Shoreham? Anybody got any further info?

The Scimitar looks great - well done! I look forward to receiving mine very soon. I trust that the San Miguel and whisky assisted the process!

Great news - I look forward to these!

I would love to see a Gannet AEW 3 in 1/48 scale. Perhaps Sword might upscale their 1/72 kit to 1/48 as they did for the LightningT4/5?

Thanks Artie - that looks great and I am looking forward to get my Scimitar. Now for a Swift FR5...…..?

Hi Artie - good to hear that nobody was hurt in the implosion. Does this affect the release of the Scimitar kit at all please - it is not clear from earlier notes what, if anything was affected by the event. If the Scimitar release date is affected when might those of us who have ordered it start to receive our kits?
Thanks,
John

Hi Neil - photo just sent. Hope it meets your needs but I do have others of this loco if you need them. When you have done the kit, put it on BM.

Hi Neil - if you can PM me your e-mail address I can send you a pic I took of 76017 on the Watercress line last Sunday, which may be of help.

It would be very nice if Special Hobby upscaled this to 1/48 scale.

Petr - when is the 1/48th Special Hobby kit of the DH 82 Tiger Moth likely to be available please? It has been shown on your lists for a number of years.
Thanks,

I was having a quick look at the look at the Trumpeter Sea Vixen at the Lancing model show earlier today, and thought that it looked pretty good. But given Trumpy's earlier kits of British types I wonder whether anybody has had a chance to look at the kit in detail and take a view on its accuracy, or otherwise.
Thanks,
John

The Provost arrived quite quickly - it is a small kit in a rather large box. It looks very good, good detailing, fine panel lines etc. Count me happy with it.

Does it include the thimble nose as found on the 45 Sqdn Beaus in Malaya in the 1950's? I hope so!

Hope they'll make the Valiant in 1/144, it's missing by Great Wall hobby

Mikro Mir make a 1/144 scale Valiant and very good it is too. Anigrand have also done a Valiant.

Shall we bombard Trumpeter with requests for a 1/48 Gannet AEW3 - and a 1/148 Swift FR5 as well???

Sorry - my finger must have slipped. It is quite badly behaved! I have now ordered my copy from the Ukraine via Ebay. It looks from the decal sheet that there are 4 options, 3 RAF and 1 civil, which follow the offerings in the S&M kit.

Sergey,
When will the Provost be available please?
Thanks,

I have just bought a Magna Balliol so will be interested to have a look at the walkaround info. The kit is typically Magna and will need a lot of tidying up before construction starts - but it looks like a Balliol.

Welsh models have done different versions of the Hastings in 1/144 scale. Have a loo at their website.
