  1. CMR did 1/144 resin kits of all of all the Shackleton variants a while back ,but I do not know if they are available now - try their website. And Welsh Models have done a Shackleton kit as well but I am unsure whether that is available or not. Equally there was a strong rumour that they were doing a Lincoln, but I have nothing more on this. John

    !/48 Swift FR5

I do have the Falcon kit, but would much prefer an injection moulded version. But if nothing appears I may have to try the vac form. John

    !/48 Swift FR5

Good morning Sergei, Have you considered making a model of the Supermarine Swift FR5 at all please? Thanks, John
  5. Ooh yes - I want one of these! John
  6. Don't forget that Revell are still to release their Beaufighter TFX later this year - it was supposed to be released in 2017 but fell but fell by the wayside for some reason. John

    1/144 Scale AW Argosy

Thanks for your interest. I did get an Argosy from the Ukraine via ebay. John
  8. I am delighted with the 1/48 Hunter kit. What shall I do with the Academy kits now? John
  9. I am delighted to say that my long awaited Mikro Mir RAF Argosy arrived this morning. At first glance it looks to be very well done. A late Christmas present! John
  10. Still no sign of my Argosy - evitently there was some foul up in the Ukraine post service which has delayed my copy. Fingers crossed.... John
  11. I am still waiting for mine from ebay, ordered back in late November. The tracking number provided does not register at all. I hope that all is well! Still I see that Hannants are now showing it of their future releases. John
  12. I was told at Telford that the Beaufighter kit has been delayed and might not be available until November 2018. John
  13. Yes Hannants did have lots of the Harrier trainer kit at Telford, and I was told that my backordered kit should be with me within a week. That was 3 weeks ago and there is no sign of it. I spoke to someone at Hannants and was told that the kits were held up in customs. Since then I have e-mailed Hannants twice to ask what is going on and have not been replied to, which I find difficult to understand. If there is a delay , should Hannants not put a note to that effect on the home page of their website? John
  14. Don’t know why there is a double quote but there is a 1/72 scale RAF Argosy done by Mach2. John
  15. If you want a Micro Mir 1/144 scale RAF Argosy, do what I have done and order one from the Ukraine via ebay! John
  16. I see in Hannants future releases that they are showing a 1/48 Hunter FGA9 by Revell. Good news, but I hope that it is a new tool and not a repop of the Academy/Italeri version of the Hunter! John
  17. Unfortunately the RAF Argosy did not make an appearance at Telford. When can we expect it to be released? John
  18. According to info at Tangmere XV408 was issued to 6 Sqdn at Coningsby in Feb 1969, and then to 54 Sqdn and 228 OCU for modification to the air defence role .She then served with 23Sqdn at Wattisham until the aircraft returned to Coningsby with 29 Sqdn. From 1987 to 1991 XV408 served with 92 and 19 Sqdns at Wildenrath. It then became a gate guardian at Cranwell in 1993 and then on external display at Halton then finally to Fairford. Thereafter it was sent to Tangmere. The Tangmere curator recalls that when it arrived at Tangmere it was in the air defence grey scheme, although you could make out the earlier overall blue colour scheme. John
  19. As far as I am aware XV408 only had the blue scheme for a short while and was then repainted whilst still in RAF service in the three tone air defence grey scheme when she served with 29 Sqdn. That was the scheme it was in when it came to Tangmere and was starting to look very tatty indeed, hence the repaint. John
  20. Yes she has been repainted in insignia blue as she was back in 1991 as Z of 92 Sqdn at Wildenrath. She looks very bonny now. John
  21. Come and see XV408 in blue at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. JOhn
  22. I am looking for this too, but Humbrol say it has been discontinued - 0 why, why why? But I have ordered 2 cans from Hobbysector in Portugal and I hope that it is on its way to me. A bit more expensive than in the UK but not dramatically so. John
  23. Can anybody enlighten me on why the inner wing pylons on the early RAF Harriers are different to those on the FAA Sea Harriers? Thanks, John
