Hi MBers,
With the news that F-Resin are producing a 1:144 scale Britannia 300 series kit, albeit in civil markings, does anyone who knows about these things, tell me whether these are the same as the RAF Britannia's (which I think were 253 series?). Does anybody do RAF Britannia decals??
Thanks,
John

Good afternoon BMers,
I'd welcome some advice please.
I have just purchased the Welsh Models 1:144 kit of the Andover C1. A rather nice little kit with a vacform fuselage and im wings/tailplane. But of course it comes with RNZAF decals and I want to do the RAF version in the dark earth/tan/black scheme. I have managed to get some pics of Andovers in flight but what I would like to know is whether these aircraft had underwing serials on both wings or just on one, and whether they had underwing roundels - again on both sides or just one?
I have also seen that they had the light aircraft grey scheme all over with 32 Sqdn, and red/white/LAG with 115 Sqdn and raspberry ripple with the ETPS aircraft. Choices, choices, choices but I think I will stick with the desert scheme - at least for the moment!
Thanks,
John

Probably not of much help but TonyO's article on the Martlet 1 was in the December 2007 issue of MAM. You might want to see if they have an back issues - or I could photocopy it for you if you want. I did hear that MIRAGE were doing a 1:48 Martlet 1 but that appears to have fallen by the wayside now?

Now there is a surprise! I have just been looking at the Revell new releases entry on the Model Aircraft International site, and what do you see. There is a list of release dates for the rest of the year and shown for November is a 1/144 scale A400M!!!! I hope it's not a mistake.

I have noted that Special Hobby have been promising a Firefly 5 in 1/48 scale for 2 years - but no sign of it so far. Does anybody have any news about it?
Thanks,
John

Hi Guys
You and I are all in the same boat balancing FINANCES....................... it is a tough job in this economy is it not!!!
As for the South Shields show, no I will not be attending as we are just heading back from holiday that day.
As for A2Zee and shows in general, I will now only be doing a few shows a year, Teford of course, Scottish Nat's and maybe one or two other local Scottish shows.
To be realistic with other subjects that have grabbed my attention the Swift 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 will be later this year or maybe next, these are 1/72 and do not worry they will not all be in ONE boxing, there are to many variables.
cheers Ali
Bu**er - I was looking for 1/48!!!!
