    LISTEN!

I see that the Libyans are so terrified of the prospect of an RAF no fly zone that they have decalred a cease fire! John
  3. I agree that this listing is useful, but didn't RAF squadrons change their codes throughout the war? So those in place in 1939 might not be the same as those used in 1945? John
  4. The normal procession of aircraft into/from Gatwick - Airbuses of various sorts, B737, 747 and 757. Occasionally the police helicopter from Shoreham (I stay inside then) and an assortment of light aircraft/ helicopters to/from Shoreham. A glider or two from the local gliding school together with its tug and - very occasionally a wokka or lynx. John
  5. Airframe (aka Aviation Workshop) are doing an Augusta A109. According to their webiste it will be available in December. HTH John
  6. A nice build of a lovely aeroplane. But can I be pedantic please? I think that the bid 230 gallon drop tanks on the FGA9 had a sway brace fitted to them ( a strut) between the tank and wing) in addition to the normal pylon. Sorry to be a pain the the a**e John
  7. Colin, Nice decals, great service! Thanks very much. John
  8. Any news on the release date of the Seafire17? John
  9. Colin - thanks. Just ordered. Now we need the Airfix Seafire17! Does anybody know the release date? John
  10. Colin - will you put a note on BM when the Seafire decals are available pl? Looking forward to these. Thanks, John
  11. Nobody really expected Airbus to get the contract did they? Even though the A330 is better - but what's that got to do with it! The Europeans need to get together a bit more and do their own thing. John
  12. MPM/Special Hobby have had a 1:48 Firefly IV/V on the stocks for some time, but no details on release dates yet. I'm interested! HTH John
  13. I've just got an Ark Hurricane 1 from Relish. According to the box side they are doing/have done a Sea Hurricane as well. In my kit, which I have not had a chance to look at properly there is a ready marked bit to cut out and it looks as though you can do a Sea Hurricane from the kit. The finish of the kit seem OK - fine panel lines etc but I cannot comment on the fit yet. It's cheap too - i paid £12 so it might be worthwhile getting this and having a go? Otherwise as other commentators have said its the Airfix one and a conversion kit or the Hasegawa one - which is pretty rare now and if you can find one very expensive. Good luck! John
  14. The thought of a 1:48 Hunter series (or Tempest) - or both - makes me go all weak at the knees! Ever hopeful John
  15. Nice aeroplane; nice kit;wrong scale! John
  16. zero - Falcon did a 1:48 vacform of a Swift FR5 which I have in the stash. It is supposed to be very good. But I agree that it would be nice to have an injection moulded one - after all it is availalble in 1:72 scale! How about it Heritage?? John
  17. What is IPA? Sounds like India Pale Ale to me. Elucidation welcome please. Thanks, John
  18. If I knew how to put a pic into a build thread, I might do. But I don't so it is unlikely, unless anybody can advise??? John
  19. I am slowly (emphasise slowly) building the JP3. It goes together well although I had a bit of a problem with the port side tip tank - but that is now sorted. Me rather than the kit I think. Enjoy! John
  20. There won't be any aircraft left in the RAF at this rate! John
  21. That is wonderful and so well deserved of the ******s John
  22. There is also a reference to Airfame producing a 1:48 Gnat, JP5 and Tucano, but I've not seen anything else yet. John
