  7. Simon - that looks really nice and very different from when I sent it to you. well done! Cheers, John
  8. Jennings, Is the Vulcan readily available in the US? At what price? No sign of it in the UK! Thanks, John
  9. Put me down for one! How about the other V bombers? John
  10. Wez - I've had a look at the pictures of the SH Sea Hornet and yes the flame dampers do look identical to the ones on the NF36, although the NF30 are slightly different (at least from the photos/drawings that I have seen). Thinking about I think I may be able to cobble one together using Sprue and the unshrouded exhausts from the kit. At least that is the theory - the practice may well be entirely different! John
  11. Whoopee!! Thanks Jennings. Look forward to these with great interest. But when will the kit be in the UK! John
  12. Does it include decals? Certainly the one made up at SMW looked good. Thanks, John
  13. I managed through Chris57's good offices to get a Matchbox Mosquito NF30 at SMW, to either make a post WW2 NF30 or NF36. But I see from all the references I have that they had flame dampers on the engine exhausts, whilst the kit does not. Does anybody know of any after market part to overcome this little issue or will I have to make one? If anybody has made them , I would appreciate guidance on how they made them. Cheers, John
  14. Nice one Paul - tell BMers how you matched the green paint! I never wiould have thought of that. John
  15. Did anbody manage to buy an Aeroclub Anson at SMW? By the time I got there at 11.00 on Saturday they had all gone! Shock, horror - but nevermind some retail therapy elsewhere managed to ease the pain. I have written to John Aero seeking info on ordering an Anson. In the meantime the one on display looked exquisite. Cheers, John
  16. Hi Jennings, When are these - much awaited - decals likely to be available please. Will some overall white Vulcans be included as well or only camo ones? It would also be good to know when to expect the kit as well! Cheers, John
  17. Bruce - does the Paragon set have the flame damper exhausts and paddle blades? I bought an NF30 at SMW and see that it does not have the flame dampers so I may need to get the Paragon replacement nacelles from somewhere although I guess that they are rarer than hen's teeth now? Cheers, John
  18. Paul - as I sad when we met this is quite stunning! Well done. John
  19. Colin, Can I reserve at Spit 22 set, the Mustang IV conversion please for collection at SMW. I am also interested in the Brits at Sea decal sheet. Will the Avenger conversion fit either the Airfix or Academy Avengers? The Hasegawa ones are a bit hard to come by! Thanks, John
  20. Glenn, What markings are on the RAF sheets? Sounds very interesting! I'll find you at SMW. John
  21. Hi Spence - can I collect a copy at SMW please? Thanks, John Wright

    RAF Sabres

Wow - I seem to have stirred up a real hornet's nest! But I am mot apprecaitive of all the comments and pictures. Going back to the original question I shall use the Academy kit for my slatted Sabre and quietly forget that it has got 6-3 wings as well. After all what is 2mm between friends and I do not have the skills or eyesight to take off 1-2 mm and rebild the catuating rods! But leads me on to a further question about Sabres. I have seen pics of them on the ground both with athe air brakes stowed and drooping down. Did the airbrakes slowly droop after landing as hydraulic pressure decayed? Thanks, John
