Hi all,
First finished model to this site, i've posted a few to the 1:72 scale forum.
Anyway, this was basically a test bed for a few techniques that are new to me and to see if I could make something interesting from the good old Airfix kit (I know not perfect but it kept me occupied!).
I filled the gun bays, removed the tailpipe cover, added a metal arrestor hook, scribed a few panel lines on the wings, (couldn't figure out how to do it on the fuselage!), added flaps and finally used my new airbush for the first time, not used one for 20 years!).
The decals were All Mark and I amended them from XF287 to XF297 based at Brawdy in the 60's.
And here's what I ended up with...
Crit is more than welcome.
Cheers
Simon
