  1. I think Dassault was given access to some of the research and flight characteristics but they were already going down that road. They went with a low wing delta as opposed to the mid-wing lay out of the Fairey. They are both very attractive aircraft though, in my humble opinion. Edited: Oooops just seen that Giorgio has already made that point.
  2. Are those decals for WG774 in its mauve and yellow scheme? Huzzah!!!
  3. Indeed. The BAC 221 would be most welcome although I'm still hoping for Dora's announcement of Wapiti to come to fruition.
  4. There has been some debate over whether the FD.2 would have been a better choice than the P.1/Lightning. The export success of the Mirage III suggests so. A developed FD.2 would look great in the Firebirds scheme.
  5. Spitfire XIV, obviously. In the gentleman's scale, obviously.
  6. My dad built that boxing and in those markings. He was a great modeller. I used to sit there and watch him building it. I must have been about six. I had it for many years until it went the way of all things.
  7. Beautiful. Ive had this kit in the stash for more years than I care to think of. If it comes out half as good as yours I'll be very happy.
  8. Looking forward to this release. As I've built the old Frog WG777 in natural metal I hope they include WG774's mauve and yellow scheme.
  9. It's possibly false memory syndrome on my part but I could have sworn that the real thing at Duxford was in over all orange. In fact, i was so sure that i went out and got a Humbrol orange with which to paint it (not that I've built it yet as its only been in the stash for about 10 years). Looking at pics though it seems to be yellow, although not as bright as trainer yellow, to my eyes. I think there was some debate about it somewhere, possibly on Britmodeller. Then again, that might be false memory syndrome kicking in as well.
  10. I think the yellow scheme might be wrong and it should, in reality, be all-over orange.
  11. Sad to hear. I built PJ'S Meteor F.4 a few years vack. An excellent kit.
  12. Nice, but did Cuba's Sea Furies have tailhooks?
  13. Airacobra would also be a brave choice given that Arma has covered it. Knowing the quality of Arma's kits it would be difficult to better it. Personally I hope it is something a little more left-field than yet another P-51, Fw190, Bf109 or Spitfire. Have there been any clues to it NOT being a WW1 aircraft? Eduard's SPAD XIII, Dr1, DH2 and EIII are all beautiful kits.
  14. Good to hear they are going to expand their 1/72 range. The 72 Revolution didn't come to much.
  15. I'm speechless! Quite incredible work. I have a question. There is an elongated white arrow which runs from the landing deck to just short of the penant (?) number in the catapult deck. Could you tell me what it signifies?
  16. I'm speechless! Quite incredible work.
  17. That's terrific. I love DH's light aircraft. Yours is beautifully rendered.
  18. That looks terrific and it's so sad it wasn't to be. It might have saved HP, although the men in suits were determined to destroy it.
  19. That looks beautiful with a great finish and rigging. Going to to get my hands on one. What makes the demise of Matchbox all the sadder is that they covered such interesting and different subjects. Wouldn't it look great with a Fairey Hendon parked next to it? Come on Valom, you know you want to.
