  1. Another lovely airliner build. What's next........ 1-11, Argosy, Herald, Heron? Richard
  2. I will build mine - and if it looks half as good as that I'll be a happy bunny. Richard
  3. Fantastic! Love those high-viz USN F-4s. Richard
  4. Very nice - I can almost hear the scream, sorry, whistle of the Darts! Richard
  5. Funny, the one I made when I was about 10 didn't look like that! Absolutely splendid build - and what a beautiful aeroplane. Richard
  6. Thanks for posting this Marty - I've been wanting a copy of 'Timepiece' for years. Used to get to see it a couple of times a year when the RAF Careers Officer visited my ATC squadron. Order placed - can't wait! Richard
  7. Cliff Don't know if you're aware of it, but S&M Decals do a FIGAS Islander in 1/72 scale (SM72-199). I assume it's the same scheme but without a website with pictures (Selina please note!) it's not possible to be certain. Richard
  8. I always used to put the stand the other way round! Seriously, nice to see a Basset again, and in a different colour scheme too. The only picture I've ever found of this scheme is here: http://austerhg.org/beagle_mags/ . Hope it's of use to you. Richard
  9. I've got a Revell Sea King that I'd like to build in these colours. Wonder if Airfix could be persuaded to sell the decals on their own? Richard
  10. Very generous of you Stewart. Thank you very much. Richard
  11. I'd like to join in, if I may. No definite ideas yet, but it may well have a BMA/BM/bmi/bmibaby theme for a change! Richard
  12. A superbly built model and very nicely presented on its base. It brings to mind Farnborough in the 1950's - I can almost see a line of classic British aircraft lined up behind it! Richard
  13. I love that satin finish - it's hard to believe that it's brush painted. Excellent work. Richard
  14. Very nice Rich. It's nice to see a 'Gripper' in something other than BEA or BA colours. Excellent work on the flaps/slats, the latter really highlight the difference between the 1C and the 1E. Richard
  15. Hi I have a C-46 that I'll never get round to building. The box is tatty, but the model is fine. If your US one doesn't work out let me know. Richard
  16. My 1/72 set arrived this morning. The decals are beautifully printed and the instructions/information are excellent. The Fujimi SH-3 has just moved up the "To-do" pile! Many thanks to Jennings and Jodie - they have obviously put a lot of time and effort into these. Richard
  17. Rich You are welcome to the TNT decals as I won't be using them. If you're interested let me know and I'll get them in the post over the weekend (I'm away until Friday). Richard
  18. Hi Rich Brasil Decals for the -500 in the original scheme (probably G-BVKD) and DrawDecals for the -300 (G-TOYI in the billboard scheme with the old style tail). Oh yes, I forgot, I've also got: Two-Six DC9-30 BMA two tone blue (G-BMAK as that was our first -30) Doyusha F-27 BMA (Flightpath decals) Minicraft B707-320C BMA (Flightpath) S&M Viscount BMA (Flightpath) There's a definite pattern emerging here isn't there? Cheers Richard
  19. Sitting in the "to-do/one-day" pile are: Minicraft B707-320C Trans Global (Airport) Revell BAe146-100 Queens Flight/32 Sqdn Revell BAe146-200 British Midland (2 tone blue WIF) Airfix B737-200 Air Tanzania Daco B737-300 bmibaby Daco B737-500 bmibaby Daco B737-400 BM The models and the decals are there - it's just the time to build them that's missing. Richard
  20. This is in my "to-do" pile using the Revell TNT 146-100 and the AirDecals. The only thing I didn't have was info on the IR pods - Thanks Jennings Richard
  21. Picked up my F-4 intakes from Terry at Cosford today. As has been said, these are superb - beautifully cast with fine panel lines. They will certainly enhance the Fujimi kit. Many thanks Terry, and good luck with the next project. Richard
  22. Having spent part of today wandering around the Vulcan at Cosford, I have to say - that is fantastic! Superb re-scribing and that bomb-bay is brilliant! richard
  23. Thanks Gents, the Hobbyboss it is then. Richard ps, crookedmouth, sorry for the thread hjack
  24. I'm watching this with interest - some very nice work going on there. I've only recently discovered that Qinetiq/ETPS have Mi-17s and quite fancy making one. However, knowing the square root of bugger all about Soviet helicopters, I wondered which is the best model (1/72) to use? Richard
