  1. That’s a lovely looking A321 (says the Boeing driver!). I’m another late convert to this scheme, but like you, it’s really grown on me. Another vote too, for the excellent RJS decals. I built a Jet2 737-800 using them and it now has pride of place at home. Richard
  2. An intriguing title which led me to a fine tribute. I think the Buccaneer looks great in the original RAF scheme (heresy, I hear the RN cry!) Richard
  3. Another recommendation for Grand Models. Excellent decals for Greek, Turkish and USAF (ANG) aircraft available from them too. Richard
  4. Cyprus (Larnaca or Paphos) Is usually on a 737-800. The -300s occasionally operate as far as Dalaman in Turkey but that’s usually “out of season” when the loads are lower. Richard
  5. I built one of those back in 1971 when it first came out and I wish it had looked even half as good as yours. A lovely build. Richard
  6. That is very nice indeed. One small point, the nose leg should be mounted on the left side of the nose wheel bay. On the full size aircraft the nose undercarriage retracted sideways. Richard
  7. Placed my order for the Dove decals on the 4th, and they arrived this morning. Great service and great decals - I can see I’ll be building a few more Doves/Devons/Sea Devons than originally planned! Richard
  8. BBMF Lancaster at about 500ft, straight over the house. Fantastic sight (and sound) but no time for pictures.
  9. Very nice Martin! I still got my second one to build and can’t decide whether to do XR679 in camouflage or grey. Decisions, decisions! Cheers Richard
  10. Thank you Ali, Order placed. Richard
  11. Order placed yesterday lunchtime, chart arrived in the post this morning. Excellent service from Crecy Publishing. Richard
  12. I’ve been looking for this for a while so just placed my order. Thanks for the tip! Richard
  13. If I remember correctly, the Britannia cockpit windows didn’t meet FAA requirements. As Canadair were hoping to sell CL-44s to US carriers, they did a deal with Convair and bought the design of the CV880/990 cockpit windows. Richard
  14. The Red Baron definitely flew the Dr.1, but I’m pretty sure Snoopy (aka The World War 1 Flying Ace) ‘flew’ a Sopwith Camel. Richard

  16. Very smart. I hope when mine (eventually) comes out of the box I can get it looking as good as that. Richard
  17. I would love to see a new build 206. As I already have a "Regal Beagle" and a "Kitstarter" from Airfix waiting patiently in the stash for me, that's 1/72 covered. However a new one in 1/48 - count me in! But I agree with Wallyinoz, the 206S2 offers more choices, albeit all civil. Richard
  18. You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game. Sorry, couldn't resist. I'll get me coat now. Richard
  19. My 738 decals arrived this morning, only 2 days after I paid for them. Like Dave Swindell, I am very impressed with the quality of the decals and the service provided by Richard. I'm very much looking forward to getting started. Richard
