  1. Absolutely beautiful build of a stunning car. French elegance at its best. I have a few of the Provence Facels and I hope I can get a simliar result from them.
  2. Use Humbrol Clearfix. Dip a cocktail stick in the clearfix to get a drop on the end, touch the drop inside the window opening and move it around a bit until surface tension creates a film across the window opening. Withdraw the cocktail stick and allow the clearfix to dry. Repeat for every window.
  3. I found this online tool for rescaling: https://www.scalemodelersworld.com/online-scale-converter-tool.html It's really helpful if like me, you hate maths. I just plug the result into the transform tool of Meshmixer to rescale.
  4. Yup. Looking forward to it.
  5. I wonder if the McLaren M23 is the one he put in the barriers at Silverstone.
  6. I could certainly print anything you like if you can supply the stl files of the missing parts. I don't have the talent to design the parts. Do you just need parts duplicated? Or are the parts completely missing? Stuart
  7. I think I'll see how it compares to the Meng kit before getting one. The rain tyres are interesting though.
  8. There were some stuff from a Japanese company called Studio Rosso, Hiroboy have stocked some of the GTR upgrades: https://www.hiroboy.com/112_GrA_Wheel_set_IMPAL_WheelsBrakes_for_Fujimi_Nissan_Skyline_R32_GTR--product--15619.html
  9. I have never seen any Coopers or Bristols in 12th scale. There was a 20th scale Cooper T51 in resin released a few years ago. The British F1 cars are a bit under-represented kit wise.
  10. They seem to have reduced their output quite considerably from their heyday, but the product listings for them on Hobby Search show a tyre mask for the 1/12th Lotus 99T: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/11055349 So they are still producing new stuff, just not much.
  11. It would possibly be easier to use the Ebbro/Tamiya Fourgonette kit. See here for an example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285657179776 (Not my listing)
  12. Looks like a good print. I have printed the same figure but have yet to start building, so I look forward to seeing your progress. Regards, Stuart
  13. I was at Sandown toy fair when they filmed the show. The majority of stuff on the stalls is over priced. If there were any bargain kits I would have Hoovered them up.
  14. If you are still after these, Tony James (Timelss hobbies ) had some on his stand at Telford today. They show as sold out on the website but it may be worth giving him a ring.
  15. $13,750 for the syrup. $55,000 for a 7 of 9 catsuit vs $35,000 for an Original series Dr McCoy uniform (I can't imagine why, it doesn't come with Jeri Ryan still in it!)
  16. Definitely 003 as 001 didn't have the lightening holes in the tub by the front suspension. Fab build of a fab car, I love these Ebbro kits.
  17. I think printing your own decals is the only way to go. Civilian bikes don't seem to attract the aftermarket that the racing bikes do.
  18. I make it about 1.9k ohm to drop 8.2Volts. Your existing setup has 9.5v drop across a 2.2k ohm resistor, this means the current is 0.0043amps. ( I=V/R) To drop 8.5Volts at 0.0043amps (R=V/I) 8.5/0.0043 = 1976ohms. This is not a freely available resistor value. Using a 2k ohm resistor will give you 8.6 volts drop (3.4 volts over the battery) possibly not enough. A 1.9k resistor will drop 8.17volts giving 3.83 volts across the battery. However, all this may be bit pointless if you don't change the torch lamp as well as if you put 3.5volts across a torch bulb that is only designed for 2.5volts it will be very bright, very briefly.
  19. I received the first two packs a few days ago ( front and rear wings ), the parts look good, some of the screws look a bit too large in scale but nothing that can't be fixed. The instruction booklet includes a paragraph " For legal reasons, we cannot show or mention the brand of one of the historic sponsors of Ayrton Senna's car." and then follows with instructions on how to apply the decals for this unmentionable brand. Interestingly the pictures of the completed model show the gaps in the pinstriping that the JPS logos needed, so it looks like it was always designed to have the cancer stick logos.
  20. Nice pictures, I'd never heard of a Bitter SC before today. Every day is a school day.
  21. I'll build the Hobbyboss kit with the panels and canopy closed to preserve the lines of the aircraft (and cover the lack of detail ) I've ordered some seatbelts for the Revell kit and I'll have to see about scratching some for the big sister.
  22. So, I've spent some time trying to decide what to build for this group build. I had narrowed it down to one of these two kits: The big Hobbyboss kit is toy like, but big. The Revell kit is much better, but small (ish). Sod it, let's build both. The Hobbyboss 1/18th kit is the 21st century toys ... er, toy. Unassembled, sold as a kit, but still kinda toylike. It has rather overstated panel lines and very little detail. But it's big and has the potential to be a big .... toy. The Revell kit is much better, a real kit. Onward!
  23. Hmmm, just pulled the pin and subscribed. To go with my other unbuilt partworks I imagine.
