Is the buccaneer still available? If so I’ll take it.

I believe they were left as they were.
Wanting to check up as Tamiya gives them as solid in the 1/32 kit -
Quick question regarding the gun panels on a Spitfire Mk.XVIe
When the 2 outer guns were removed were the undersurface panels left as they were with the cartridge openings or were they replaced with solid panels?
TIA

Looking for the correct colours for the cockpit for the Tornado GR4. Any help out there?

Thanks for the replies. That’s put my mind to rest as I thought I was doing something wrong

Just tried MRP lacquer paint for the first time, previously used Alclad Mil-Spec, and have a question to ask.
Thought I’d shaken the bottle enough but when I sprayed it, the colour was weak so two coats needed. When it dried it had a satin finish, nothing a coat of matt varnish won’t put right.
Is this a case of not mixed enough. If so, would a small ball bearing in the bottle help with mixing.
Colour used is US WW2 interior green.

Have heard good things regarding MRP lacquers but what are the acrylics like
TIA

Some of those look very close matches. looking to change from Mil-Spec paints and locally have a choice between Tamiya, Gunze or Vallejo.

The paint itself is great, color matches are mediocre at best for WW2 targets.
Here is an example of WW2 USN matches evaluation I did recently:
Which colors are you interested in? If I have them, I can validate how close they are.
Interested in RAF and Luftwaffe fighter colours of WW2 -
Noticed that a local hobby shop has started to stock Vallejo paint. I went ahead and bought one to try out and was impressed with the result. My question is what is the thoughts of their colours, do they match up with the real thing? Thinking more of WW2 colours.

Hi Monthy Python,
It's the other way around, the kit (plastic) comes from Revell, which Eduard has re-boxed with other decals, and some PE & Resin goodies.

thanks for the reply, that’s made it easier for my search- 1

Recently put a post up in the wanted section for Eduard 1/48 Tornado’s. Just looked at the Revell GR.4 and it looks like the same kit as Eduard but in a Revell box. Is this correct?

Nearly finished the James Holland book, Brothers in Arms about the Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry from D-Day to VE-Day. This has got me thinking about doing a 1/35 scale Firefly VC.
So my questions are, as I’m a builder of aircraft and not AFV’s, is the RFM kit the way to go? Also is there any decals for the SRY? Had a trawl on the internet and cannot see any.
TIA

Possibly done to death but here goes my question
About to start the ZM F-4J but will be done as a 74sq aircraft. Kit gives both J & S cockpit parts. Which should be used as I believe the aircraft were re-worked before hand over to the RAF. Have a list of other bits and pieces to sort out on the kit.

Verlinden Lock-On 10 - British Phantoms and Aeroguide 25 - F-4J (UK) Phantom both illustrate and explain that the hold-back hooks themselves were removed but the recesses for them remained uncovered.
That’s a great help. Thanks

Did the F-4J's used by 74sq retain the catapult hooks under the fuselage or were they blanked off?
TIA

thanks fo the replies, that sorts that one out.

Looking at doing a 74sq F-4J Phantom using the 1/48 Zoukei Mura offering. Question is which one, the Navy or Marines boxing? As far as I can see, the main difference is the weapons sprue but I may be wrong.

Asking this for a mate and if it's in the wrong forum then I apologise.
Looking for some replacement parts for a Trumpeter kit and after sending an email to their customer service off the web site have heard nothing. Does anybody have another contact for them?
TIA

Have seen a 1/32 ZM P-51D for sale at what can be classed as a steal. Wonder how it stands against the Tamiya kit regards build. I know that ZM offers a lot of detail that will not be seen when closed up.
TIA

silver dope
in Paint
Apologies if this has been asked before so here goes.
Doing the Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito as an RAAF aircraft which calls for a silver doped airframe. Would Alclad white aluminium be a good match for the colour?
