  1. Thanks Chris. I had -3C here in Sweden this morning, so double figures is better than here. 🥶 A jacket, gloves and umbrella will be included in the luggage. /Bosse - who had hope for a pint outdoors in the Spring Sun. ☀️
  2. Yes I saw them, and they'll be great to use as reference. /Bosse
  3. Thanks. I'm sure we'll be seeing some fine things, and I'm also sure we'll find something good to eat. I've found some restaurants in York we'd like to try. /Bosse
  4. Fantastic picture Now I want to build me some Greek F-16's Thanks for sharing them @Seamus Shaun. /Bosse
  5. Hi. I've done some more work on my LanceR. I found an AAQ-28 Litening III pod in one of my Israeli F-16 boxes that I'll not be using for that kit. 038 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I've started to glue Reskit's wonderful Python 3's together. 20240123_173834 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 039 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I think that Reskit has actually used copper for the photoetched parts. I had completed one missile yesterday evening when I discovered that I'd put the back fins wrong, so pry them loose and start over again. This build will now be in hold for a little while, because on Saturday morning My wife Anne and I are taking a 22 year delayed wedding trip to England for 8 days. We'll fly to Gatwick and then take the train to York where we'll be visiting Jorvik Viking Centre, York Minster and just walk around the city. And after four nights in York we'll take train back to London for another four nights. The plan in London is a visit to British Museum and look at the Egyptian collection, Elgin Marbles and of course the Sutton Hoo findings. I haven't been to the museum since the mid eighties, so I look forward to see it again. We've also booked a guided tour to walk in Sir Winston Churchills foot steps and of course we'll also be visiting Churchill War rooms. And we'll finish of the trip with a visit to ABBA Voyage before we take the plane back home to Sweden again. I just hope that the British weather will show it's best behaviour, I'm not so fond of rain. To be continued..... /Bosse
  6. Hi. I've been busy the last few months with adding these to my growing stash of F-16's, I think I've got around 20 unbuilt ones now. Some will be used for various Group Builds this year, but there will be plenty left for next year. You can't have too many F-16's /Bosse
  7. Hi. I was set for a great weekend at the cottage and doing some cleaning up in the garden. But the weather gods had other plans. Miserable weather with online a few degrees outside and a strong wind kept us from the garden. I'd planned to put some meat on the grill, but it was a bit too chilly outside for that. And on Sunday the weather was even worse with pouring rain, so we went home right after breakfast. When I got home I decided to take my airbrush fully apart for the very first time. I've had some problem with bubbling in the paint cup. 037 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I recently bought a "China Import" cheap ultrasonic cleaner and decided to use it. I did the job, but it's of so poor quality that I'll be replacing it with something that has a stainless steel tank. This one is plastic, so I choose not to use any solvent based cleaner. I used Ultimate Airbrush cleaner and after 3 x 5 minutes I had a clean airbrush. I didn't remove the Teflon seal at the most remote place in the brush, and that turned out to be a not so good decision. It still bubbled when shooting airbrush cleaner through it. So I stripped it down again and removed the screw holding the seal and run it for 2 x 5 minutes again. And after some prying I go the seal out and replaced it with a new. After that I got rid of the bubbling, but the airbrush now spits and pulsates when shooting just cleaner. So something is still wrong, perhaps I broke the seal when putting it in, or it's not tightened enough? Or could it be the nozzle that's broken? Feel free to comment here if you have some clever idea's on how to fix it. I'm a beginner with airbrushing so I don't know that much about it. To be continued..... Bosse
  8. Thanks @Lex77 And I can report from my morning walk through Kungsträdgåden from the underground to work that the Cherry Blossoms are here now. 036 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I really like Spring... ☀️ /Bosse
  9. Great one @wellzy You can't have too many F-16's. Good luck with your project. /Bosse
  10. Looks great Ray @Romeo Alpha Yankee But I guess you know you way around the Orion if you've built that many of them. /Bosse
  11. Nice choice @Lex77 And a very good start. Good luck with your project. /Bosse
  12. Hi. I've done some more small bits on my LanceR in preparation for primer. The nose gear bay is done, and I've also cut the plate so I can glue the resin part to it. 029 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 030 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The drop tanks have gotten their pylons. 031 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Pylons and rails for the Python 3's are also done. 032 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The exhaust have also been completed. 033 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I've also got one of the landing gear glued together. I think I'll try add some brake lines on them, something I've not done before. 034 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I can say that Spring has finally come to Stockholm The Cherry Blossom Trees in Kungsträdgården, where I work, are about to bloom, I think they'll do it today, or tomorrow at the latest. 035 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse
  13. Hi Colin @Colin W As promised, here are some picture of my IDF/AF Vautour. Please for give the dust on it. 148 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Front landing gear bay, looking aft. 149 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 150 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And yes, I've lost a wheel cover, but I still got it but I haven't got around to repair the builds that was damaged in our move from two year ago. Rear landing gear bay, looking forward. 151 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 152 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I hope this helps, and if you want more pictures just let me know. /Bosse
  14. I don't have my original build pictures left. They disappeared in the great Photo bucket hijack. But I'll pull it out from the display cabinet and shoot some new ones. I'll post them here tomorrow morning. /Bosse
  15. Gosh what work you've done on this one Colin @Colin W I built one of these in 2008 so I know it's not an easy kit to build. And I still have some frightful memories of that build. That could be the reason for not building the other two I still have in the stash since then. /Bosse
  16. Please add me to the list. I got at least one F-104 in the stash and I could use this GB to get it from the stash and into the display cabinet. /Bosse
  17. Hi All. Some more small bits has been done on my LanceR The exhaust part have been glued. 024 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The main wheel bays as well. 025 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 026 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the ejection seat, which is a small kit in it self. 027 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And my sprue forest is growing. 028 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The plan for the evening is to glue the undercarriage together I think. To be continued..... /Bosse
  18. A Greek F-5. I hope you'll do it in the stunning Aegean Ghost camo. This I got to follow. Good luck with your build @modelling minion Craig. /Bosse
  19. Thanks Werner. @exdraken I couldn't find any build time worth of talking about during the weekend, so no new pictures today. But hopefully I'll have something to show tomorrow, or later in the week. /Bosse
  20. Thanks @-Ian-. Sorry to hear that your set are missing some pieces. I agree that the Eduard kit is excellent. I bought lots of over tree boxes a while back when Eduard had a sale. I think I got around 10 of the still in the stash of various models., nice kits that don't take that much space in the display cabinets. /Bosse
  21. Thanks JB. I haven't built the Academy version so I can't give you any pointer. /Bosse
  22. Great start @Luke1199 If that's your first painted IP you'll be fine the rest of the way. Good luck with your build. /Bosse
  23. You're gonna carve a F-100 from a piece of wood. This I got to see... Good luck with your build. /Bosse
  24. Great choice, you can't go wrong with an "Erdnagel" in Norm83. Good luck with your build. /Bosse
