Morning Folks. Was stuck in the house for over a month after knee surgery so worked my way thro a load of kits in the stash. This was a £5 purchase to try a wash on a metallic finish, to see how it went and I had forgotten I had bought micro sol & set last christmas so thought I better start using them. Was a bit unsure about putting a coat of matt clear on it after Cheers Simon

Good Morning, It was brushed. I keep putting off buying an airbrush because I don't have a lot of room in the 'man cave' for it. Plus if I go out an buy a compressor and airbrush my girlfriend will take that as an excuse to go buy herself more shoes or handbags or clothes etc, etc lol simon

Evening Tony it was all painted with good old humbrol. Couple of coats of johnsons klear and then a black oil wash. Hope that helps Simon

Early on in the Pacific it was to prevent magnetic mines and then once the Japs found this out. They started using the old satchel charge strapped to the chest and dive in between the bogeys. Black dog do a resin set for a late war set Pacific sherman with the wodden planking across the running gear as well Simon

I know but really struggled to find a clear picture of a RAF mustang without the bloody pilot climbing out of it.....

Hi guys. just joined Britmodeller. These are my first armour posts. Still got washes to put on lower hull on Tamiya Sherman and fit all the tools. Academy kit is unsure which mark of Sherman it is but goes together really well. Tools to be fitted on it as well Tamiya Kit Academy Kit All comments welcome Cheers Simon

Hi Folks. This is the Accurate Armour 1/48 Mustang C/II kit. went together fine but there is something about it that doesn't seem to look right.. I think it's the shape of the canopy (Malcolm hood..) Any opinions? Cheers Simon
