Folks type this into google Davis Monthan AFB Tucson Arizona Look for 'S Wilmont Road' Look for the 'T' Junction on it There is a B-52 and B-1 on one side of the road. On the other side is a mish mash of other aircraft... But look at the one right at the end closest to the T Junction is that me or does that look a hell of a lot like a Jedi Starfighter? Jambo

Morning Gents, Currently building M-12 155mm Academy have put a really nice interior in in for the driver etc. So thought I'd leave the hatches open to show it off. However I've got an issue. Driver is on the Left, nice seat, all the levers, quite busy looking. Right hand side, Radio Op? This side has a seat and nothing else, so does anybody know where I can find info on this? Hope somebody can help because even though you can only see it thro the hatches it would be a shame to button this up thanks Jambo

Morning Mike, nice to read a review on this kit which hits the nail on the head... "I plan on handing the kit over to a youngster that I'm coaching at the moment for him to build, as he won't care about accuracy issues or otherwise.." For me as a kid it was all about building and painting it.... "The red Airfix box shows a pair of bare metal Migs in Russian markings flying over a landscape at a jaunty angle - just the sort of exciting imagery to attract the younger modeller to the kit...." Who didn't buy/want model kits as a youngster because of the box art. Airfix Lancaster coming home with the engine on fire Matchbox B-25 The first Tamiya kit you got...(they where the mega expensive kits in my youth) Think I'll be buying one of these Mig's though, then keep an eye on here to see who has the best way of painting it bare metal... Jambo Enjoy a new airfix kit

Good Morning Gents, I have just bought the 1/35 Tamiya Churchill Mk Vii. It will be the first Churchill I will have had since my Dad built me the Matchbox bridge layer version in 1/76 about 30 yrs ago for me...I'm more of a Sherman guy but decided on a wee break from welded or cast hulls... so any hints/tips/suggestions on building this one would be very helpful. Does anybody know of a good resin set for it? I know Black dog do the Hessian turret for it but I was looking for bed rolls, boxes etc, etc cheers Jambo

Thanks Jens, that means I can get the cockpit buttoned up tonight. Jambo

Evening Gents Got an issue with painting up my 1/48 Academy F-16 I need to know what the colour is behind the pilots seat but underneath the canopy? Is it the same dark grey (humbrol 125) as the upper fuselage or something else? Can anybody help? Preferable with the right colour in humbrol numbers Cheers Jambo

The new Airfix MiG-15 - so what's wrong with it?
jamboseven replied to John's topic in Aircraft Cold War
Lets take all this 'what's wrong with it' in context.... It's an Airfix £7.99 kit. It's not a £40 dragon kit or a scandalously priced hasegawa kit. Are you guys remembering the first kits you built? I would think a fair few of us bought airfix or matchbox kits with pocket money many moons ago. My first kit was the Matchbox 1/72 Folland gnat. I wanted it like the Red arrows on the box and was dissapointed that it was in two colours of plastic... I remember my Dad explaining about painting it and how to build it (and also to never follow the instructions from 1 to whatever). Anyway it's a £7.99 kit, for the experienced guys if there are any issues with it, you should have the savy after years of building kits to fix any issues. For somebody who is new to model building kits, £7.99 isn't quite breaking the bank and if they don't like it, they can say they haven't wasted a lot of money... But if they do enjoy building it, they will end up on forums like this years down the line complaining that the latest generation of pocket money kits might not be 'quite right' . With their Lofts full of kits, bookshelves full of military books. kits half finished, an unhealthly interest in resin and meeting people like us at shows.... So lets remember what got us into this subject and help Airfix by buying their cheap kits. If it's leading to things like the TSR2, Nimrod, Canberra, Mosquito, Valiant, Vixen......... -

1/350th scale... I thought that must be a nice scale to build a battleship in.... If i built that it would have lost every AA gun to the carpet monster. You must have the patience of a saint. Think this is gonna look cracking when your done

Dragon 1/35 Sd.Kfz.250/9 Neu 2cm Reconnaissance
jamboseven replied to Paul Brickles's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Paul thought the model on its own was cracking but on the diorama it looks even better. Really love your paint job on the jacket I thought modern British DPM was bad enough to paint but then I see what you have done... Fantastic Jambo
