Hi, Since I haven't had time to finish this MiG for GB, I slowed down work on the model and add more details. I'm completely satisfied with the final result Few days ago, I finished my latest Fishbed. It's a well known Condor kit, OOB. I re-scribed all panel lines, add rivets and few stuff in scratch build ( like whole cockpit, double lancers for R-60... ). Model is painted with Mr. Color, matt cote is also from Mr. Color. For gloss surface, I used Pronto ( wax for wooden floors ), maybe 4-5 coats, and after decals 3 more... Decals are Lift Here, they are 2-3 years old so I had some problems with them, but Gunze ( Softener and Setter ) fixed the problem. Also, I used Tamiya D Set and black paint for wash and brown to simulate rust and oil patches ( I don't know how to say that ). Pictures will say the rest, I'm not so good at writing... That's it! Now, you with comments and critiques! Cheers, Nenad

Thank you! Work on intake, well... nothing special, I just lost the original part, so I made new one from plastic. After rescribing, I used to sand panel lines on dry, without water until they are completely white, as you can see on previous pictures. Then i left them for 24h and rescribe again, just to remove the dust. Final step is with Tamiya glue, I just get across them with it and let to dry 48h. Hope I helped you. Cheers, Nenad

Ok, finally some progres, I used two types of riveters and single needle. I tried to convey the details from tech. drawings to model as faithfully as possible. Well, seen from the other side, I just wanted to test new riveter and some new techniques of engraving panel lines. I'm satisfied with final result... I have a spare canopy from Zvezda Bis, so I'll use that one... Cheers, Nenad

Croatia never had MF version, only Bis and UM, and they were bought from Ukraine. Serbia have Bis, R and UM. You can do Yugoslavian MF with communist roundels or with "pepsi" roundels, from SR Yugoslavia ( after 1991). I have a lot picutres, if you need them, just tell and I will post right here.

Thank you Bill! No, it's regular silver Mr. Color 8, but Super Silver is probably much better. After painting, I sprayed 3-4 coats of Pronto (wax for wooden floors), it's like Future and after decals/wash another 2-3 coats. A few better pics... Cheers, Nenad

Good evening, My latest YU bird. What I can say... Academy kit which is pretty good, only problem are panel lines on wings because they are two shallow. And second problem, panel lines (windows) on front windshield are cast upside down, so I used Fujimi one. Sabre in progress: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.p...abre+yugoslavia Paints are Mr. Color, decals Lift Here. This is my first NMF and I'm very satisfied with the final result. I hope that the next NMF will be much better! Image quality is not the best but I hope that you will like it. I think it's ready for inspection! Cheers, Nenad

Hi guys, For two weeks competition will be held in my city, so I decided to do something quick, like Dragon MiG-15. Beautiful kit, maybe not so accurate like HB but it's OK. I will use Extratech PE parts in cockpit and landing gear. Kit fits very well, no gaps at all. Wings and body are assembled for 2-3 hours... looks like an easy kit... so far, so good... I'm not so good at writing English, but pictures will tell what I'm trying to say... I added weights in this part of the nose, but at first I made the walls to keep weights in place Cheers, Nenad

Thank you Miroslave! What's going on with your MiG-21? Any progress? Panel lines are almost complete, next time pictures of the cockpit and the landing gear... Cheers, Nenad

Good evening, A few hours ago, I started another MiG-21... tihs time, it's a Condor kit, not so bad. I'm working on this kit just because I want to test Hasegawa Trytool. So far, so good... Cheers, Nenad

Thank you. No, 054 from Batajnica with red stabilizers on wings... After a couple of hours shading panels, i coated Sabre with 3 layers of Pronto ( It's like Future ). I need to apply 3 more roundels, one number 054 and stencils... :bandhead2: Sorry for bad pictures... new pics for a few days. Cheers, Nenad

Ok, this is the first time painting whole aircraft in silver. I really need to know what are you guys thinking, comments and critiques are welcomed! Thanks! And silver paint... I used Mr. Color Silver, it's great! I need to polish NMF surface, just to be more shiny. Before that, 'need to fix the paint. Cheers, Nenad

I'm still working on my Italeri MiG-29 9-12, but this is project no.1! This is the first time to do model in 1/48 scale. The first thing I noticed is that this scale gives much more "space" for details. Academy kit is just great, details are so good and "clean". I cut body on half, because of the engine. I decided to do camouflaged Yugoslavian Sabre from 1950's, based in Batajnica Air Base. Btw, this is also the first time to use Eduard PE parts. I have some parts for 1/72 scale jet's, but this is brutal! I can even read the numbers from dashboard! And paints for Yugoslavian cammo... probably I will add white in all 3... Colors are not exactly the same like colors on JRV Sabre. Few pics of real thing: Update for weekend! Cheers, Nenad

Thank you Paul! But I'm just an average modeller who is trying to improve skills on every single model. Today was a busy day, with Trumpeter riveter and needle... so much fun! More pictures soon! Cheers, Nenad
