Hi guys, I’ve got a set of markings from the Tamiya Saladin,can anyone shed some light on the unit markings? I believe some are Germany and Brunei. any help much appreciated👍 Ivan

Hi guys, after a year it is finally done,as far as I’m taking it anyway 😄 Tamiya kit as the base, Fruil tracks, AA bins, Newland models mine plough and plenty of plastic card. now I did have. Dragon Badger ‘conversion kit’ but TBH apart from the rear and front hampers it was a total waste of money😡(steer.well clear of him) hope you like what you see it’s been a definite love hate experience doing this and it’s took me into skills not done before😄 all comments and any suggestions of obvious stuff I have missed more the n welcome WIP here, Cheers Ivan

It’s a metallic silver mate,it had an annoying habit of rubbing of onto your combats etc as many an AFV crewman will tell you😂

Newland models have come through again! They are fast becoming a serious rival to AA with these kits😄 https://www.newlandmodels.co.uk/ Any way that’s Crimble sorted, it looks a tad pricey but when I secretly add up what I spent on my CHAVRE there TBH isn’t a lot in it. Ivan

No no Roger there is no ‘new’ project in the works just a OOB Airfix Ferret (well nearly just a couple of tweaks😂) As i have said thanks for your support it’s helped👍 cheers Ivan

Sshh keep it to yourselves but the construction is DONE😁probably a bit more work on the weathering and the commanders lid needs painted but hey ho after nearly a year the little bits can wait! here it is less the fascine and plough but they will bo on for RFI. thanks to all who have followed this,made comments and shared likes it has ment a lot and given I strayed into areas I have never done before you have given me much encouragement👌 thank you Ivan

Small steps today fascine started,the plastic is that hard ordinary glue and even super glue won’t touch it! I ended up using some of the OICs Hi-tack glue for the base and then taping the pile together and then flooding it with PVA🙄seems to have worked 😉 Started on the weathering using oil wash and some fullers earth mixed with mud brown for the running gear,the hull will get a wash of that as well to tone it down a bit. that’s it for today👍 Ivan
