Northern Ireland, the early days - suitable figures to convert?
ivan-o replied to bootneck's topic in Figure Discussion
The only figures I can think of with 58 webbing is the Tamiya stretcher party set! British figures of that period just don’t exist🙁 -
Could be the calm before the storm mate, seems some people never learn🙄😂

Hi, righto build done, primed and ready for paint next post will be in RFI. Basically OOB apart from the hatches thinned down, engine Louvre and exhaust grill replaced. Overall I would say this is an excellent starter kit for anybody to have a go at,as to aftermarket I can’t see a lot to actually improve the kit,if an interior emerges it’s so small in there you won’t be able to see a lot! Anyway it was a good kit bash( could have been quicker) cheers Ivan

The quality and the speed of your build is outstanding👌However I’m loath to say this but is it riding a bit to high on the suspension?(sorry) -

Very nice start👍 Watching on with all the others😄I know what you mean by sending you crazy my CHAVRE was done off photos and looking to see what lines up with what is sometimes a bit confusing 😳stick with it though please. -
Hi Darryl, it really is a cracking little kit for the price, really you have a 2in1 because if you leave off the fighting compartment roof you can easily make a Mk 1😉 Ivan

Hi guys, suspension and engine hatches on as per kit instructions no drama to report👍 cheers Ivan

Hi small update, front is on but on reflection it would have been better to put this part on first and then the front side parts on next not as the instructions have you do them. The steering wheel is not in the right place so I have left it off. Where the instructions have you put it the driver would never be able to get in and out of his hatch. overall though the kit is going together ok and if you would like to introduce a youngster to model making this would make a good starter👍 cheers Ivan

Thanks Roger but there will be very little changed, still got brain fade from the CHAVRE 🙄 I don’t want to go down the after market route either so nice and quick with this little beauty👍 Ivan

Hi guys not really a WIP as such because I don’t actually think the kit needs to much done. however I have replaced the engine Louvres at the back, thinned down the hatches and if you want to fit a driver his seat has to go back quite a bit! Some bins were added to the inside escape hatches as well. louvres and back hatches, driver in you can see the gap between the Cmd’s seat and Dvr’s. anymore bits and pieces I think off I will put in👍( rear basket) cheers Ivan

Hi Kipsley please do a WIP on this build so we can follow along with great interest 👍
