Hi, right the hull is done,a few mods here and there with some plastic required😳 I will prime this and probably put some colour on it before I take the plunge with the excavator with all its carpet monster bits waiting😂 cheers Ivan

Hi,some movement on the rear deck,fascine cradle on and box’s. I took the plunge and added some heat to the hull bottom and pressed down and the suspension is more or less level. When doing a resin kit check and check again everything is straight and square😉or you end up with squeaky bum moments like I’ve had here😳 I’m not happy with the side skirt I shortened so I will probably end up scratching a new one! that it for today Ivan

Might have solved the problem! It is not actually sitting low it is near enough the correct height . however the side skirts are 3/4 mm too deep😳so do I live with it or risk damage taking them off and shorten them🤔 answers on a postcard please😂 Ivan

No problem,don’t worry mate that didn’t even cross my mind😄 however the saga continues,after putting it side by side with a CR2 in the collection it isn’t high at the back but slightly at the front😂I haven’t checked yet but the only answer is that the side skirts are a tad deeper than they should be.🤔

Top job on the painting,👍 I done a 432 in this scheme not half so many nooks and crannies to get the masking tape in😄

It is what it is mate I’m certainly not going anywhere near it with heat to lift the suspension! Everything else would start to bend out of shape it doesn’t need much to get the resin to bend. Ivan

Righto,skirts are on and some more detail on the top hull. It is definitely sitting down at the back but the suspension arms were put on at max height! Hayho it is what it is🙄 The front mud flaps are going to have to redone with plastic but it’s coming together not to bad👍 cheers Ivan

Another small step today tracks are on😀 they were length and link,not my favourite by any means but if I had told OIC household I wanted another £35 for metal ones,that would not have had a good outcome😂 as you can see the crack in the hull that was so ‘helpfully’ pointed out earlier in the thread has been covered behind the sprocket. cheers Ivan

Well it’s been a while but I have a minor update,some more of the bins etc are on and wheels and sprockets are near completion. A word of warning the kit hub caps are VERY fragile I gave up on them and I am using the caps out of a trumpy CR 2 I had in the stash. cheers Ivan

Nice progress 👍the inside did get dirty very quickly with the coming and goings of the crew and dust etc coming in every hatch,if you could give it an oil paint wash you would be surprised how effective it is and is really not hard to do.

well the ‘defence’ correspondent was saying the other day we should send a carrier to the Red Sea so the typhoons don’t have to fly from Cyprus and can us the carrier instead🙄clowns the lot of them.
