Wow fast replies! Many thanks for getting back to me so quick... Bobski - just had a look at xtracrylix barley grey and it looks almost 'right' even though technically its the wrong colour. Or I'll add a few drops of white as you advise Dave F. I'll airbrush a test soon and decide then. Hi, Having read the very helpful post by NG899 and suitably inspired my next project is the Airfix 1/72 Sea Harrier FA2. Does anyone have any photos of the FOD covers used by SHAR2's? As I want to model my SHAR covered up! Also has anyone used Xtracrylix medium sea grey? I believe it is the overall colour for these jets but the reason I ask is that it looks a little too dark to me when compared to photos of the real aircraft Many thanks in advance. My first post on BM btw. Below are some photographs by me of the machine I am modelling and by happy coincidence the markings/serial are included in the Airfix kit I intend to model ZE690 with the ARAAMS fitted on the fuselage pylons as per photo below, which will mean some scratchbuilding as this particular pylon style is not included in the kit...The photos were taken at RAF Fairford in July 2005 and were the last sight I had of these wonderful machines Note also '003'only carried AMRAAMS on her arrival but had acquired double pylon sidewinders by the time she had settled in the static.
