Very nice build. I see you wisely opted for a tail prop instead of the undercarriage crushing amount of nose weight required to keep it perched on three wheels.

Academy gets the nose doors wrong in the instructions though. They don't hinge, they slide out flat along the hull.

Reading up on the car is quite interesting. There were two "main" cars used over the various seasons and they were slightly different models due to the colour being discontinued, the main visible difference being painted wing mirrors becoming chromed wing mirrors and changes to the possition of the iconic stripe. The tires were also "reversed" so the Goodyear logo was on the inside and not visible for advertising rules.

Glaser apparently hated the car which is why you see it hitting dustbins and mounting kerbs so much.

 

Such an iconic car for those of us who grew up watching the series, detectives up to then had just driven bland saloon cars.

Nicely done. I remember building this kit and it had a lot of see-through bits in the wheel wells and jet pipe that needed blocking off and was very basic.

And then they go and include the ground handling trolley...

Looks nice.  It's interesting that there was never a solid nose version of the Marauder like there was with the Mitchell, Havoc and Invader.

Very nice. The aircraft used actually belongs to Tom Cruise. While he was married to Katie Holmes it bore the name "Kiss me Kate" on the starboard cowling.

I remember a review when the kit came out  not being happy with the fit of the various noses. Is there supposed to be an issue with the canopy as well? Either the fit or the size/shape was supposed to be off.

Looks a much better kit than the vintage Monogram one I built in the 1970's (which was state of the art at the time - decal instruments, sliding canopies and separate arms for the pilot)

Very nice. The volkes filter and cannons give the Hurricane a not to be messed with look.

I am sure someone more knowledgeable  can confirm or deny, but I recall from the Mat Irvine "mega" shuttle kit review in SMI in the 1980s, that the tiled areas on the Moonraker shuttle were  a dark reddish brown not the black/grey of the NASA shuttles?

It looks like they have taken a Generic NASA decal sheet and just added the Drax Industry trim and logos.

Trivia. The yellow stripe was the same width as the standard issue rolls of black tape, so they could be made "tactical" in a hurry.

Even with the "hairy string" that is a superb build.

I have uses various materials: Fishing Line, "invisible" sewing thread worked well. I have now invested in some elasticated thread (EZ Line) designed for rigging ships for when I have the courage to build another biplane.
