Cheers Richard, I'd appreciate that.

-
While Fiona wandered round the clothes shops in Elgin I went for a wander round the model shop. As a result I came home with a Revell 1/144th Hunter and some big plans for it. Only sticking point is a lack of a pilot figure.
Searching the 'net has proved fruitless, only Aeroclub seem to have made any and they're out of production.
Can you guys point me in the right direction, or is my nice straightforward quick-build project about to get more complicated?

He's off! Have you been sniffing the dust off your long-term Airfix sand-fest?
It will fit!
I really must learn to open a window next time

Mind you, the fumes from the filler makes me feel good and forget what a pig's bottom of a thing it is.
You still need at least two other Phantoms for the stash though.

-
Yes, you know you want one. Go on, life will not be complete without one. Oh, and an F-4S to use the spare bits and keep the Brit ones company

-
Still - I've just ordered a genuine FGR.2 pit from Bill, so I need to decide whether to get an FG.1 or eBay this pit.
No no no no no, you've got it all wrong! You clearly need another British Phantom kit :whistling:
-
Got to admit I'd be quite keen to see a Mk II kitted, just something a little different from the normal.
-
Well hurry up and get it finished lad, what are you dithering at?!?

Seriously though, you've got a good starting point with the Heller Sabre. Decent level of detail and good fit from what I recall, I'll bet it's good therapy to make such rapid progress. Look forward to seeing a RAF Sabre before the weekend

-
Oooh, that's nice! Any more pics to show?
Looking at your build gives me an urge to call Kingkit tomorrow

-
Phew, glad to see this one survived the surgery Ian. Looking good so far, not much further to go now

-
You can't have too many Hunters...
Cracking work Sean, every time I see on of the Revell Hunter's in either of the three scales I want to rush down to the LMS and add more to the stash!
-
Apparently he even has one to wipe his.. :shithappens:
...nose?
-
K'in Hell Bill, you must have as many on-going projects as Mike!

She looks good so far, another on my 'must see work in progress' list.
-
Cool, that was a lucky find! There's one on Dutch Ebay at the moment for 75 Euros so the Kingkit's are still a relative bargain. Perhaps I should buy one so we can all look forward to Classic Airframes of Trumpeter bringing out a new 48th kit for a fiver less.

I'll be looking forward to seeing this one finished mate

-
You lucky git! Always wanted one of those, with any luck someone will come up with a quality kit just after you finish this one

Seriously though, how did the build go? She looks a good fit so far apart from the nose.
-
She looks cracking Mike but I have to ask, how many builds have you got going on at the moment!?!

-
Phantastic build Phil!!!! I'm luvvin it!!! (And has made me view my Phujimi Phantoms in a slightly "must build" way....)
Just make sure you phinish that Lightning and the GR-1 first mate

-
Did I just have a minor rant?
Aye, but you only aired the same opinion as most of us feel

Dunno what it is with ARC lately but find I'm less inclined to visit it after certain 'incidents' in the recent past, some of the crap Brian had to put up with was only the start of it.
-
Nah mate, I was being a bit too stupid

-
Surely XXX would be 29 Sqn
I think you mean 139 (Jamaica) Squadron.Er, no. XXX is 30. Guess who was paying attention in class that day?

-
Hi Col...I'd love to, but I am sworn to secrecy as they were done on commisssion for a potential book project...so these here pics are all you get!...ha ha...what a tease I am!...
Oh well, thanks anyway Zeke. Perhaps you can tell us a little more about the book if it goes ahead, looks as if it could be quite a good read.
-
Top stuff Andy, all I can say is...Bring on the Harrier!

-
Nice work so far Bill, very educational mate.
Glad to see those pesky customers didn't keep you on the phone too long today

-
Found something else that may be of interest to you buddy

-
Can you tell us a bit more about the builds Zeke? Such as any aftermarket parts used or pitfalls you found along the way.
I'm particularly interested in the two Mk. Xs but I'm sure the guys would be keen to hear about them all
