Hmm, did have a couple of sheets laid past but it's a few years ago now since I got them so don't know if there were many Jags covered. Let me have a look when I get home and I'll let you know
If we keep this thread going I won't need to
Do you have a shelf strong enough to take the weight of a 48th scale XF-10F-1 shaped chunk of resin!?!
Possibly something to do with the shrinkage of larger resin components? Neil, keep me right here please.
Looks as if you're our first confirmed participant Daz.
With any luck Airfix will release a new pressing of their 48th kit by then. Dunno how available they are just now?
Given the 'soapy frog' discussion going on in another thread this could be a rather loaded question Rowan
Ahem, sorry. Nice work there Jon, very colourful.
Other than being an incredibly ugly chunk of a thing (as most US stuff is in my opinion) I think it also served as a research vehicle for the variable geometry wing concept.
Have a vague feeling there was a short-run kit of it on the go some years ago but don't know who produced it. If anyone. Maybe my memory is playing tricks again.
Given this kit has been due for quite some time I think there should be a few sheets imminent.
Shame about the spelling mistake, seems to be becoming a bit of a habit with them.
Let me give you a more accurate depiction of the potential conversation:
Me: "Hello lass, how's yo..."
Fiona: "What the F*@£ is that!"
Me: "Err, it's only a little..."
Fiona: "You've been spending more f*@£ing money on f*@£ing model kits!"
Me: But Mike said it would be..."
Fiona: Oh, well that makes it OK then does it!?"
Me: "Ouch!"
Fiona: "Well, does it!?"
Me: "Oww! But listen..Ouch! Don't..agh! Oww!"
Can you see where this is going? Tell you mate, it's a tall tree in our garden
From what you describe I think the cooler air temperature is the root of your problems Uggywuggy.
If you are spraying in a low enough temperature condensation can form in the paint and spoil the finish, although this is my experience from using spray-guns in open workshops I would think the same principle would hold true for a smaller airbrush.
Is there any way you can bring a small heater into your celler to pre-warm the room before you start?
