  1. Given the various festering sores and other maladies your suffering from right now you should consider yourself lucky your anus can retain anything mate
  2. Good good, that's what I like to hear. At least he's alright.
  3. Seems to be a common problem with most US mags these days. My dad used to get Popular Mechanics but stopped a few years back because of that and I hardly bother with the otherwise very good Bicycling. It's damn near impossible to find the articles for the sheer bulk of adverts, usually for things unconnected with the magazine's subject. I can hardly believe that the whole of North America has only one indigenous modelling magazine, sounds like a massive missed opportunity for other publishers.
  4. So let me get this straight, what we would have once referred to as a bloody-minded pain in the bottom is now someone suffering from a passive-aggressive disorder? Isn't progress wonderful Come to think of it, when was the last time anyone heard from Mental? Seems we may have to launch a SAR mission boys. Don't want him suffering in enemy hands, they'll be forcing him to build F-14s the evil scum!
  5. Early Sea Furies were the F-Mk10 and did not have provision for underwing stores as far as I can remember, these only being introduced with the later FB-11. Almost certain the low demarcation line scheme was for all the Mk.10 aircraft and only a few of the early -11s. Silver for the U/C legs. I'll check these statement when I get home later just to be sure though.
  6. Wow, this must qualify for the brightest build here so far Looking good Jim
  7. Can't help with the letter Kyrre but I will be following your thread. The scene looks like the perfect subject for a diorama and that's some pretty impressive work on the building so far
  8. Read this on the 'plane to and from Crete. It's a cracking read and an interesting change of perspective to 'Sharky' Ward's book. Morgan is very frank about the effect war had upon him in a way that Ward never could be and this made me warm to him, something of the 'flawed hero' about his character gives the impression he is telling the absolute truth as he knows it in his account of life during the War. Mind you, don't know if the title would gain it too many other impulse buyers at the WH Smith's in Gatwick airport.
  9. Hmm, of course you did. We believe you. Good advice though, there are a couple of kits in the stash with canopies rattling around amongst the other sprues that will benefit from that treatment.
  10. Hmm, now you come to mention it... Just assumed it was a model but the closer I look the more I think it's the real thing.
  11. Teacher's pet No! No no no. The last thing I want to see is his member
  12. It's remarks of that calibre that make threads got off track you know
  13. Always a pleasure to see more progress on this one Nige, you're right about the hi-vis markings adding a touch of class to her.
  14. That's quite a collection of 'cat's you got there mate. Do like the JASDF Phantom, that's my favourite. Glad to see you're still making progress with the Airfix kit too.
  15. Easy now lads, it seems to be an isolated incident and as one of the ARCers says, CMK are reputed to have good reputation for customer service. Still not tempted to forego the three Airfix 48th kits in the stash for a £60-odd 72nd kit though.
  16. Can't say I've seen that scheme before but she looks bloody nice Gary.

As Joe says, she certainly looks as if she's just come in from the field. You might want to remove that short and curly from the photobooth though.
  18. Thanks mate, feels as if there's still as much to do though. A little more progress today, made and installed the radio gear in the rear 'pit. Hope to get a set of seat-belts made this evening, then I can install the seats and get back to fussing over the canopies.
  19. Wonderful work on the fuel lines, this is gearing up to being a real showpiece model
  20. Well she looks the part, that's for sure Glad to see you got her finished after the 'incident'.
  21. Sorry to here you've been laid off Bryan, hope you get another job soon. Thanks for keeping us updated about the site, look forward to seeing how you progress with it. Brings home some of the commercial realities of a resource we all take for granted.
  22. More fine work there Periklis, any more progress to show?
  23. Fair point Drewe, had heard the sales of the 72nd kit proved disapointing. Makes me wonder how Trumpeter's sales of subjects such as the Gannet and Wyvern are doing?
  24. The moulded detail seems quite good, panel fit is perhaps a little too good for an old Landy though You've certainly made headway with her today, keep up the good work Pete.
