    Jaguar kits

Ultimately it depends what my LMS has in stock so you never know. Mind you, Wayne did give the link to Antics and they have a good selection...

    Jaguar kits

Cheers lads, we kick off at the start of October Karl. From what I've read about the Italeri kit the Revell single-seater should be a good one. Think I'll be sticking to kiddie-scale for this one Gary and Pete, it's a small flat so we don't have a great deal of space for me to display models, besides which my tectonic drift-like building pace would mean taking years to build a 48th kit much as I'd love to
  3. Nice work there Richard, love that colour-scheme Hope to see you get some more done soon.
  4. While thinking about the imminent Jag GB I had a look around Hannants web-site to see what's available. Now as far as I can see there are 4 manufacturers with a 72nd scale kit in their current range; Airfix, Italeri, Hasegawa and Revell. Airfix seem to be the only one to have a 48th kit out at the moment although I have a feeling Esci used to do one. My question is, what's the most accurate, and while we're at it which is best detailed? I built a Hasegawa T-2 several years ago and while it was fairly straight-forward it had a couple of fit issues and a general lack of detail in the 'pits and undercarriage components so was wondering if there was a better option in general circulation, given that the Matchbox and Heller seem long OOP.
  5. Shame you were too slow to edit it then You know I only goad you about it because I find your work inspiring and like to see it progress
  6. There's an Esoteric Hawker Nimrod in the stash that fills me with the same sense of trepidation but your build is inspiring stuff and may just help her closer to the top of the pile.
  7. I think you'll find it's 'anything Mike's NOT doing'
  8. That scene was dodgy enough without you repeating it, now I just want to run and hide Looks nice so far Ale, weathering seems just right. Adds to the overall effect without being overdone.
  9. Snob! Either way, get back on with that Mossie. I'll let the Valiant issue lie for the time-being so long as you finish that one first.
  10. Ha, glad you think you warrant the attention. Now get back in that shed where we can see you and do some modelling
  11. I thought you said you wern't that good at scratch building? Nice progress so far Jens, keep those updates coming
  12. Shame you put it straight back down again without doing anything Ha ha. See, it's not just me that's picking on you
  13. Nice work so far Perry, a few interesting WIPs going on in the background as well.
  14. Show us some pictures then! Go on man, let's see her, you know you want to and we all love Mossies here
  15. Well at least you got a decent anniversary present for yourself
  16. Harassing you about it indeed, it's been weeks if not the best part of a month since I last had a go at yanking your chain on this one. Never mind using me as an excuse for your feckless procrastinating, just get on with it Nice to see it again and get a reminder of all the work you've done so far. Now crack on and lets see this thread continue as a work-in-progress.
  17. Can't recall that one, know what you mean with regards the Strawberry Bitch though Think the worst I've come across was some sheets for girlies on the upper nose of a few F-105s with a strategically placed in-flight refueling probe receptacle. Guess it gave the boom operators something to concentrate on.
  18. Sigh, remember the days when you still got sexy nose art on the box painting, far less the decal sheet? Read a few guys talking about Bit o lace in another thread, that's the best example I can think of off-hand but there wer plenty more. Must have sold a few kits on the strength of that alone.
  19. Was thinking of Model Alliance but that's just a vauge hunch with no evidence to back it up Either way it'd be worth laying past a couple of these kits. Shame Hasegawa didn't feel the need to include the girlies in a kit decal sheet.
  20. Have a vauge feeling I read of a decal company planning a sheet with the two girlies featured?
  21. One night my dad and I split a bottle of whisky and started swapping stories, at one point I can remember his saying that if the Warsaw Pact forces ever came rolling over the Central Front he was going to shoot the first bugger he spotted with an AK-47 and nick his gun. The Soviet's made some very rugged hardware that could survive a lot more use than some of the over-complicated Western equivalents but this is a factor that never seems to be mentioned in any articles of this type I've come across. Good point about the buffer states Sean, glad we'll never have to find out.
  22. An honourable mission you're undertaking there Wayne, good luck. Perhaps fixing those three will give you an easier sense of achievement to start you off? BTW, what's the story behind the Schneider-esque Spitfire?
  23. As opposed to just voting for yourself you mean? Careful Phil, otherwise you could become his next 'special friend'
  24. Oooh, that's a bit tasty! You've achieved a nice overall effect there David so those techniques certainly worked for you.
  25. By the look of that model I'm not sure there isn't any plastic involved mate Honestly dear, I'm just looking at some pictures of plastic models
