  1. Looks as if you're having a modeller's nightmare with this one Giorgio Well done for getting everything to touch where it should with a series of clever fixes.
  2. Still plenty time to get this one over the finishline and gallery ready so no rush. Don't spoil this one at the last moment as it's looking too good.
  3. Now Rich, I've seen your skillful work, natural metal painting should hold no fear for you! I'm told the new AK Interactive paints are a joy to work with in comparison to old enamels than never dried or even Alclad. There was still plenty stuff going about in camouflage with big propellors on the front at this time so I'm thinking a 602 squadron Mk.21/22/24 Spitfire or perhaps a MiG-15 at the moment. What does your stash hold?
  4. Both pairs are looking great there sir As for what to do next; I was about to say you have Lightnings in your stash so stop asking such damned silly questions and crack on with them but then you also have an Anson and some Beaufighters and Harriers and Hunters and some of Camm's beautiful biplanes and a selection of MiG types and Fireflys and Seafires and.... so understand your dilemma. Nah, you've not built a jet for a while, get a silver Lightning going!
  5. Do they not have USS Franklin D. Roostervelt in their range yet?
  6. Always room for another Delighted to hear you're joining us for your first GB. Remember this one is open to any front-line military equipment used by both sides in Europe from the end of World War Two in mid-1945 until the end of December 1959 including troop transport and first aid duties.
  7. That really is fugly! Although it does prove the 747 was nothing new with it's upper deck seating. Wonder if the cool kids sat in the back seats upstairs...
  8. Impressive detail painting there Craig
  9. Well this period marks the point were piston engined aircraft reached their ultimate zenith and the jet age came in with a (sonic) bang! So you can build anything from a late mark Spitfire or Tempest, P-51, Yak-11, to a Hunter or P/F-80, F-100, MiG-19 etc. Ground forces also seen a vast array of equipment changing and new ideas being brought into service so there really is a huge range of colourful and interesting options, both by way of markings and in a geo-political sense, open to us.
  10. My pleasure Ian The Meatbox sounds good to me and I'm looking forward to seeing your Hunter finished soon. Both of these will look great together. Remember gang this one includes the period from post-war 1945 to 1959 as an added bonus so there's an extra 4 & 1/2 years of subjects to choose from
  11. Alas no. So second hand channels are your only option I'm afraid to say. Had a quick look on eBay as I was typing out this but no joy unless you want to throw silly money at "collector's item" kits If you are able to join with any of those you'll be most welcome
  12. Plus 1 for you doing the Su-15! Go on, go on, go on, you know you want to
  13. Either sounds good to me Enzo Of course, both would be even better...
  14. Of course. You're most welcome to the party with that kit
  15. Stunning work on both the base and module Mark. Good luck with sourcing more wine bottle foil
  16. Lovely result Seeing models of this quality is one of the rewards from hosting a GB that go towards making it all worthwhile.
  17. My local Tesco still has last month's issue on the shelf
  18. This looks like the start of an interesting thread and a fun project.
  19. Glad to see you back at this project Cookie although I'm sorry to hear your search for a vocation was all in vain.
  20. Well your thread on the Eduard MiG-21 does make for very interesting reading...
