  1. Tidy work Dermot. The colours look great and the rigging seems fine to me.
  2. Added a little extra detail inside the canopy last night The lamps still need fitted to their triangular mounting brackets but think that'll be enough. There's a couple of minor external bits and pieces still to make and add around the airframe but my main thoughts are on creating the early style open exhaust pipes for each engine.
  3. Hmm, no, too risky boss. One slip of the knife and that's a ruined kit. Best buy another V-156 instead
  4. I'm pretty much just going to echo Dennis' comment above. You've picked a cracking subject @reini
  5. One of the main advantages of an all-encompassing Group Build subject such as this is the variety of subjects it encourages. Nice choices Paul
  6. A largely unknown subject (tick) from a largely unknown kit manufacturer (tick) that'll require a large measure of modelling skill to complete (tick). Hey gang, look, Pat's here
  7. These are the words of a man with experience in such matters
  8. One of my front running potential projects is a Hawker Fury Dennis, so the subject may be covered at least once, although I'll be surprised if it doesn't feature a few times
  9. Job done The tabs at the root of each tailplane required a little work to ensure they fitted without an dihedral but otherwise it was painless.
  10. At least we all have plenty other things in progress or the stash to keep us occupied
  11. While the filler cures around the nose attention may as well be directed aft to the tailplanes. On the Mk.I the tailplanes were flat and smaller than those found on the later Mk.VI and X so this needs addressed. Initially I began modifying the kit parts but then a kind fellow BM member sent me a resin set of the correct proportions Either way a razor saw is about to get some action.
  12. I've a vague memory that the Matchbox kit was more representative of a YA-10 (now there's a challenge for you Craig ) but it seems you've more decals in your stash than kits - now far be it from me to lead you astray but I must ask... W.W.E.M.D?
  13. Second round of filler applied and restricted almost entirely to the wing to forward fuselage joint I'd neglected first time around Fit of parts on this one is certainly typical of Tamiya's good reputation.
  14. Did not expect you to go with this subject Dennis but it's a good one and you're off to a great start
  15. That's impressive work over such a basic starting point. Nicely done and completely believable. As for the tail markings: G caught my attention first with J coming second after considering all the options. I'd personally leave the inner faces without the individual letter and badge to avoid everything looking too complicated and fussy.
  16. They certainly offer the potential to create an interesting model. Given enough time and razor saw wielding. Tempted?
  17. In you come There's certainly plenty of schemes to choose from the continuing history of F-16 operations and the USAFE is a classic.
  18. The Academy kit seems to have attracted the main share of aftermarket goodies.
  19. You are counted and bring us up to 28
  20. The perfect reason indeed Steve and a nice subject choice.
  21. A bit of reworking will be needed to get the smaller gun of the first two but will make for an interesting model if you fancy doing them.
  22. There's an interesting array of schemes on that sheet Craig. Good luck narrowing it down to one. Or, alternatively, you can buy a few more A-10 kits and avoid the agony of choice. That way you're sure to get your monies worth from the sheet
  23. Even with its Matchbox-esqu two-colour plastic this looks to be a nicely detailed kit.
