  1. Session started nicely with a coffee and some Frank Cooper's on toast. Then - power cut! Stopped the session as the power has gone. . A bit of investigation tells us the iron has gone off on one - replacement required as the napkins won't be ironed for dinner tomorrow! Back to more interesting matters - starting to get the innards coloured so that we can button her up. Off to town now to get an iron.... Session time = 42 minutes, total time = 1 hour 55 minutes
  2. First session completed. Taking an early start to get around the arrival of the offspring over the next couple of days - it will be the Great Escape option for this one. Unfortunately the camera time is a day out - it'll be sorted for the next session. Assembled the fuselage halves, which is not as suggested in the instructions, but makes more sense to me this way. Some other bits and pieces tidied up, a little bit of filler applied. All in all it looks like a nice little kit. Session time = 1 hour 13 minutes, total time = 1 hour 13 minutes
  3. They look like nice kits - good luck with them.
  4. Ah, Advocaat. The drink my Aunts loved at Christmas mixed with lemonade to make a snowball - once tasted, never forgotten. I'll be treating myself to a tot of Talisker at some stage, but don't tell @JOCKNEY , it might disturb my attempts at rigging the Fokker.
  5. A KUTA of a KUTA is appreciated by us aficionados.
  6. Nicely done - love it. A ship with a bit of rigging might be my entry into the Out of my Comfort Zone GB.
  7. A bit of black on to see what we have - it's not as good as I thought it might be, but it's a start. It'll be drying whilst the Blitzbuild progresses.
  8. Well said! I have all sorts of bits of plastic that I have collected over the past 45 years or so - I even keep all the empty sprues, just in case. My children think I am bonkers....
  9. If you are doing it in the yellow scheme @Hockeyboy76 will be expecting to see some pink primer in action!
  10. Can confirm that's exactly what I've got, and would probably be clearer than a pic. I can also photocopy and send to you just in case you can't download!
  11. My last chance this year to avoid the scorn of @JOCKNEY by building something that has the dirty rigging on it. At least there are no clear parts. Airfix's version is from 2016, kit no. A01086, looks nicely moulded, and comes with decent decals. Airfix provide a detailed rigging diagram, so no excuses, other that running out of time, there. Hopefully will be able to fit some late night/early morning sessions in to do it justice.
  12. Lovely stuff - given that you've gone for something with rigging I may have to reciprocate - I think I have the Airfix version of this kit somewhere in the stash. Or I may chicken out and do a Spitfire.
  13. Another Camel in the KUTA - looks like you've whipped most of it into shape already - good luck.
  14. We love a Lightning with the gears up - looking forward to seeing how the different shades turn out on the NMF as well.
  15. If the Bismarck were my build I'd be itching to get some primer on it - it doesn't look like it's far off that stage.
  16. All the other builds on the shelf of doom are quaking in fear. I feel a bit like King Kong treating the poor fella to that treatment though.
  17. Nose opened up. Also tidied up the scribing on the split flaps, but don't think I should have bothered as they have just been carried over from the F.1A kit, and are incorrect for the F.3. A little bit of filler will get us back where we want to be.
  18. Rather brutally taken to bits - start again time I reckon.
  19. Oh yes please, if @JOCKNEY's doing some rigging I'm in! Now where is that Contrail Perth?
  20. Must be, they look very good. I'm leaning towards an Estonian Camel though - just need to trawl for some pics.
  21. We love a Mersu - what schemes are you treating us to?
  22. This one has a bit of rigging, so it should keep @JOCKNEY happy if nothing else. Another kit started by the eldest lad a long time ago, and when I told him last night it was back on the bench he could only ask, "Why?" I think it comes from moulds that produced a kit back in 1957. I might have to try a bit of dis-assembly, as there is something not aligned, but the tube glue used doesn't look like it will give up its hold easily. We do have decals though.
