  1. Yes please, I would like to be included. I have plenty of Heller's lovely 1/72 aeroplanes in the stash, so it must be time to build a few.
  2. We love a titanic tussle between plastic and a modeller - stay strong!
  3. It's a lovely kit if you don't mind doing a little fettling. From memory the Premiere kit, (also FROGspawn), had a very useful set of instructions detailing some upgrades to the kit. Don't know if this version has that? ModelArt also do some very good decals for the Aquilon, (MODEL ART 72/085). Good luck with her!
  4. That's a shame, used them on quite a few occasions, and always had a very good service. Hope every one there has something to move on to.
  5. 😐 - Went today but it wasn't open, a bit of a schoolboy error as it was our last day. I must say it's a long time since I saw a haslet toastie on the menu though, 😲.
  6. I must say the wet palette helped a lot with the painting, coming back and having the colours still fresh for use was very useful.
  7. Bob & Rita about to hit the beach, (now they are presentable)
  8. Wow - did I blink and you finished another kit?! Nice work.
  9. Nearing the finish line - last drying session before touching up.
  10. Great attempt - sorry to hear about the family stuff, hope it all smooths out with a bit of time for reflection.
  11. More b&s for lunch - unfortunately all gone now. A bit more colour on the happy couple - layering of colours to continue. Stopped counting the minutes now as I can't use all the hours on the Great Escape option.
  12. I think you do yourself a disservice - it looks up to date from the base kit from where I am, (and even better for a Blitzenbuild).
  13. Some colour on now. The wet palette seems to work ok, even for an acrylic paint novice like me. Session time - 2 hours 38 minutes Total build time - 6 hours 9 minutes
  14. Moulded in the '60s, I reckon it was normal back then? They want YOU as a new recruit, Bertie!
  15. A bit more done, not long before some colour gets applied. Leftovers combine to make a delicious bubble and squeak before we get going. And here's the lovely couple at the start of the session. Bob tidied up and with arms on. Primer applied - gotta love that neckerchief! Session time - 1 hour 57 minutes Total build time - 3 hour 31 minutes
  16. Touch wood the gout beast has left me alone for a while now - my sympathies to you, it's not a pleasant thing to endure. There will be another Blitzbuild coming along before we know it - see you then?
  17. That looks great - especially given the amount of time taken. I'd love to see another vehicle - the more the merrier.
  18. Another Blitz cracker - it looks very good.
  19. That's what happens with a Blitzbuild - you promise yourself to keep it simple, and before long that notion has flown out of the window.
