Nice - how are the old are the old Heller chopper model - I quite like some of the old aircraft. -
Not sure if you can still get it - but Lakeland do stuff called Quick Shine Floor Finish - works a treat for me (it's made in the USA but available in the UK) http://www.lakeland.co.uk/20286/Quick-Shine-Floor-Finish

Cheers Guys - I have a Heller PZL11c - might try and do the 2 together and compare

Bought these three on a trip to Poland last week from a nice Polish Gentleman from the Phantom Model shop in Krakow - don't know anything about the ICM model (approx £6)- the other two MisterCraft cost the equivalent of £1.65 a pop - given my lack of skill I'm not worried if I cock them up - I have built other PZL's before - but at £1.65 hey! Anyone know anything about the models and what Airfix colour maps to Lufthansa Blue? Any info good or bad gratefully received! http://

I'm posting in the hope that someone might be able to assist ( I know from other posts how helpful most are on the forum). Can anyone help me identify the following aircraft and give me pointers on how I could model it in 1/72 I understand it is used inter island on the Falklands - my 9 year old nephew flew on it recently and got to sit in the co- pilots seat!, Along with a tour of a Hercules, tristar, typhoon and a tour round the helicopter search and rescue (lucky wee boy) - I'd like to try and build him a model of the plane in the pic Thanks in advance for any assistance Regards Gordon

Nice work - I recently built it's predecessor - raised rivets and all - the canopy does not even come close to filling the hole - had to cut it and pose it open - did you hand paint or airbrush the spots? Nicely done - what colours of paint did you use? -

I have to confess to having handled 0.05 pens very early in my engineering drawing days (thank the Lord for computer aided drawing, don't fancy hand drawing the railway junction drawings I produce now!!!!!) As a futher bit of background - I used the pen & let it dry, then used the Quickshine floor polish to seal before applying the Humbrol Matt. Thanks to all for the kind words - doubt the next off the line will look so good though (a rather nasty Roden Lagg-3) - The new tool Airfix kits are a joy to build and paint. -

Thanks - I think the panel lines with the pen works because of the all over aluminium finish - if anyone wants to know the pen is a black 0.05 Mitsubishi Uni Pin Fine Line. -

Nice - I just made the original Airfix 109 kit with raised rivets etc - and a canopy that doesn't fit!! You splendid model might encourage me to do another, if you are looking for a Klear substitute and you are in the UK - try Quickshine from Lakeland (floor polish imported from the USA) works a treat for me (and I'm rubbish compared to most on here) -
My latest humble effort if anyone wants a look (ipad photo limitations and a diminishing amount of Scottish daylight!!) Anyway - hand painted with Humbrol Enamels - Quickshine (Klear Substitute from Lakeland) and Humbrol Matt Coat I have no idea how to "wash" the panel lines - had a go previously with a graphite pencil, didn't work so this time I tried a 0.05 ink pen I got from the local art shop - I realise that from a scale point of view it might be a bit much - but I do this for relaxation & I think this effort is undoubtedly my best effort since my return after 35 odd years!! Oh - and Airfix - what an excellent fitting kit - makes it so much easier & enjoyable:- Have a look if you want & thanks for looking - and can anyone tell me what the traffic lights on the underside of the wing are for?
