Hi Steve ,yes the flame damper comes with the kit. Eduard should think about selling the sprue that has the damper and radar units seperatly or releasing this as a single kit boxing -

I have just taken a look at Merricks Aircraft Interriors and the leather colour is often very dark ,almost black. I dont know how much variation was found but i guess if the paint varied so did the leather. I useually use a redish brown as that contrasts well with the dark Rlm 66 but i will compramise reality for what looks niceto me . I think a dark leather would have a blueish tint to it so some black/blue mix and gray/blue for the worn areas -

A few photos of model with all decals applied .Have now to give some drying time then a coat of Klear. The decals whent on well .Nice and strong with a good bond .You do need to get them in place quickly. Used Micro sol with no problems . Choise of stensil colour is based on what would show up best against background colour. Chose to put theWildSau emblemon both sides although the instructions show it only on one. Other completed models i have seen have it on both sides and that is good enough for me. Forcast is a wet weekend and the wife is away to london shopping so progress should be good. PS have added some chips and wear but kept it to the minimum as reasond being a night fighter the ground crew would be working on it during the day so would do a better job keeping it tidy -
As iv got more than i need for this life time i will send any member of the FW 190 group build some if you send a SAE . Should be enough for all the small shynee parts for a few years. I have used a spare fuselarge side and have gone over the radio hatch. The hinge has come through well ,however the lines of the hatch need more work . I do think with some skill ,time and correct tools it would work . even getting the little fastners starting to show . The finish is far too shynee for my taste in large amounts but for the odd small pannel on a jet for instance it will stand out. I will try it on my spitfire rear view mirror as it should be just the job, Looking at it again it is deff . to garish . any model Bike builders this is worth giveing a go. -
Be careful now not to knock off those rudder peddles. i think mine came off 3 or 4 times. Looking good and good quality photo

Have done a little work on the legs . Used some lead wire for the brake lines and tried another idea that came to me after seeing jacksdad useing Bare Metal Foil. A few years ago i purchaseds some heat insulation tape to go around a cooker hob .Only needed a fraction so lots left over I cut a small section and applied it to the area of the leg to be painted super chrome and this is the result It actually does look like chromed metal ,even up close under a lense. I cant see it comeing off as the glue is very strong and i bet its heat proof. I must have enough to last the rest of my life . Think the roll cost about £10.00 Called Ticky tape HIGH PERFORMANCE 30 MICRON BRIGHT FOIL TAPE A dead soft aluminium foil with a very high performance acrylic adhesive that gives a very long life coupled with excellent cold weather performance. Meets Class 1 and Class 0 spread of flame test http://www.tickitape.co.uk/tapesdivision/insulation.htm -

Getting things sorted for the decals .Have just glossed over useing my trusty no 16 brush and tamiya X-22. This works well leaving no brush marks ,smoother surface than i can get useing an airbrush . Key is to work fast and avoid build up in dips and edges, although after spraying a coat of Future they dissapear. Another thing i always do is wear my lucky shirt to avoid fluf . Now going to do some of those anoying little jobs like paint the rear wheel! -

Just opend the bags to take a look at the pilot . I had not realised till now that Robert Maxwell had loged hours flying 190's I dont think he will be flying this one -
You are a brave man fitting the flaps into what can only be described as a temprimental kit though you seem to have the beast tamed . Looks like you will have it eating out of the palm of your hand

Hi Mick Are you going to use a late cigar type drop tank . Better Late than never !
