Muzz, I'm just waiting for my re-issued HAS.3 to check fit of the master for a new nose in vacform (very easy this one!!) with alternative front ends -early or late. Once I'm happy, I'll be getting down to production.
Dave
Hi, do some modellers wear blinkers? Someone has just paid over £47 for a Revell Wessex HAS.3! I've just ordered a new one from Wonderland Models for £16!
Strange world isn't it?
Dave
Basically the same kit. Follow the previous steps and you have areasonable job. You don't have to bend the rear boom, the earlier models were straight!(?). You can also build the tunnel for the HAS.7, remembering to change the size of the door, as the cabin floor was raised to provide fuel tankage to replace that lost to the tunnel. I can also recommend the resin and vacform detail sets from swannys models in the states, often advertised on Ebay. The vacform glazing is particularly good. I was thinking of making a mould of the tunnel on my HAS.7 to ease conversion.
Dave
I asked in Telford, and it is the old one. I can recommend Ian's (Heritage Aviation) detail set, and I'm just revising my moulds for the Radome, Collar and Underside. Dave
Hi, there is a good in-box review and good photographs of the parts at this address:

Just waiting for mine to arrive,

Hi, I can remember coming back into Singapore after the East Pakistan Cyclone disaster in '70, and there being a lot of worry about the rotor leading edges being eroded by the dust. Rain would have prevented the flypast as 847 left for Sembawang.

Now I've finished my nose extension for the Revell Queen's Flight Wessex, I want to make a model of one of 781's Green Parrots. Does anyone have any pictures of the cabin layout of the VIP transport, or did they just clean the canvas?
Dave
Hi, I'm looking for interior shots of the main cabin of the HAS.3, especially of the Sonar set-up. Anyone out there got maintenance manuals etc that show detail?
Dave
781X Naval Air Squadron was part of the Berlin communications flight immediately post-WWII. Can anyone give me some indication on the camouflage/colours caried by their aircraft, especially the Dominie C.1. I'm hoping to build NF847 from the Aeroclub kit (got one after many months watching!). Any pictures of this or other aircraft of this flight would be very welcome.
Cheers, Dave
Hi David, yes I did see that one, and I thought that I'd replied to you on Hyperscale. I'll have another look, because I'm pretty certain my friend was at the OCU at the time.
Cheers, Dave
Hi, I'm trying to find any picture of Hawker Hunter F.6 XE644 when she was at Chivenor in 1970. I want to make a model of this aicraft for a friend.
Thanks, Dave
Hi, the decals for my Dynavector have suffered badly during storage, and I'm looking for replacements. I know Aviation Workshop produce one as part of one of the "RAF Germany Series", but I'm hoping to get the data markings as well. Does anyone have a spare Dynavector set, or can they point me in the right direction? (Dynavector don't have any spares).TIA, Dave
Hi, the HAS3 has a dorsal radome housing the EK10 search radar scanner behind the "horsecollar" fairing. The item provided by Revell isabout 2/3 size.
