  1. Hi Dov,if you cut out small sections from the outer disc that attaches to the tyre, you need only cut out approx 4 sections, this will make it far easier to enable the spokes to conform to a cone shape. The missing sections will not be too noticable after a coat of paint. To add more strength to the part,a small axle made of metal tubing, that is slighty larger in circumference than the axle hole, cut to the desired length can be glued onto the inner ring of one side, allowed to set, then glued to the tyre, then the other spoked disc is fixed to the tyre and axle,I have used Albion Alloys products in the past, this is a fiddly process, then a piece of metal rod can be inserted inside the hollow axle to protrude enough for the wheel to be mounted onto the undercarriage pieces.A small disc of metal or plastic can then be used to close off the axle opening.

Sorry about the long winded explanation, its difficult to explain in writing.

  2. I was stationed in BAOR with an armoured regiment, initially on Saladin, then Scorpion, and DPM gear was issued in 1972.It was supposed to be specialist cleaned, but inevitibly got put in with the regular 'dhobi',and consequently became very faded after a short time.It wasn't unusual to see DPM jackets worn with Khaki/OD trousers,or even over coveralls. On exercise there was a bit of leeway with what kit was worn, unless the RSM saw you. Some of the guys even had the old 'Pixie' suits,a much coveted bit of gear. Also, the regiment I was in never had putties or gaiters, either issued or worn.

  3. Several weeks ago I recieved a letter from my GP asking me to book a jab. This I did through the surgery,so a date was confimed.About a 2 weeks later I had a text message, from  GPSurgery, asking me to fill in a short questionnaire by following the link provided in the message,or on my computer.Attempted both methods which failed.Rang up my GP,they stated they knew nothing about this, they have had several people concerned about the message, but they have informed people to just ignore it.Over the past 3 weeks there has been 2 more text messages received which I deleted and ignored.Just now I have had another message stating this is my last chance to fill in questionnaire. The link is floreydotaccurzdotcom/vkqgsyztu.Have not put actual link as it appears, subbed . with the word dot.Anyone know anything about this?

  4. Its the same situation around here being close to the midlands motorway network and a very large distribution centre that is growing all the time, and further projects in the pipeline. What gets me is the price of properties and how the hell do people afford these properties. There is an old farm house up for grabs at the moment near where I live, probably about an acre of land as its not been a farmhouse for many years, development building around it.Nice 4 bed house, next to main road with good access to motorways, rail and bus depots within 10 mins walking, close to all amenties.£900,000.!!!10% deposit and nearly £3,500 pm mortgage.Who can afford these places, probably a developer will buy it and build about 20 houses on the plot.

  7. There's going to be a forthcoming article by Mike Kelsey for next year on the use of a AW FK3 6219 in Cross & Cockade International. This machine was captured from British forces in Macedonia and used by the Bulgarian forces until lost in action.

  8. About 3 years ago,our cat had a very bad case of constipation.Took her to the vets to remedy the issue.A shot of something was squirted directly into her nether region, and the vet said I had probably 20 minutes to get her home and into the garden before the inevitable happened. No worries, only lived a 5 minute drive from the vets.Bundled her into cat basket and placed it on the passenger seat.As soon as I pulled out of the vets car park, there was a low growling coming from the cat basket, and then the most awful pungent smell pervaded the inner car space.Even with the window open the stench was terrible. My wife said I was a lurid green colour by the time I got home.
