  9. Thanks Lightening. Indeed it was very tail heavy. without fuel, pilots and ammo it was prone to tail tipping, on the fourth picture you can see a tail bumper just below the vertical stabilizer..what they'd do is put a fuel drum bellow the tail, just like on the later F7F Tigercat (and as i found later, just like the Boeing 727..that is why the tail ladder is always deployed when the aircraft is parked...interesting stuff, i guess, lol) Thanks for the comment =] Cheers João
  10. Hi Guys So this was the kit i made before the Moskito...it took a very long time to make because i was learning how to use the airbrush and washes and stuff, but it came all right. I wanted a sun bleached, weathered, look and i followed many many references, either books or really beautifull chipped corsair models one can find on the web made by our fellow modellers, and tried to follow the lead. It took about 5 or 6 layers of lightened paint to make the bleach look, lot of work but a lot of fun so after about six months or so it ended up like this: That's it =] Cheers!! João
  11. Thank you guys so much for the warm reception and comments i'll post my only other complete aircraft so far, and when ill get some more done (im a bit of a slow builder) ill surely post here. Very nice to 'meet' you guys Cheers João
  12. My name is Joao and this is my first post on Britmodeller, so i take the oportunity to greet everyone in here My latest build (a few months old now) was Revell´s 1/48 Moskito with Verlinden Set. the set was a bit of a pain to get right, but the wings also came a bit bent from factory and no matter how much weight i added (taking into account the fragile scratch extension on the front landing gear), its still a tail tipper...well the next will come out better Just after taking a bunch of pictures have i realized i hadn't uncovered the rear window (between the wings) so some pics are, well, strange. some others are fine, with the window uncovered This is how it came about: So thanks very much for the look, feel free to comment, and see you soon Cheers João
