  1. is that the same seller? i have been watching that one for a while until i can afford it. i wouldnt mind combining postage then for another kit
  2. can you pm that person, im after a mig 23 in the near future and would love 2 at that price
  3. just look at the price of the Mig 17 and MIg21 combo....ouch, almost 30 quid for 2 very very old poor kits (i have lots of each in very old boxes so i know how poor they are)
  4. on a plane that bores me to death and have no interest in, enjoyed the fotos. cool
  5. i got some from poundland, like it
  6. im doing some heavily weathered migs too. made a few mistakes first time around. but hope to get there.
  7. some old ugly guy off facebook has been putting up images of the same kit on the airfix page..................but yours is better than his ;-)
  8. we can only learn from trying new things........ i have the monogram 48th one, and like you would do it weathered, heavily too
  9. nice effort, but as you say too weathered. i guess the real thing would be touched up and repainted. for some reason around the fusalarge roundel decal, something isnt right. effect it gives off is that the varnish went cloudy.
  10. i have been there, really disapointed with unable to get close up etc etc. my fave 2 are Rothenberg, in the middle of nowhere (been many times, very very friendly, close up and touch, and i have a model displayed there) and Cottbus museum, again v good and close up. like the pics though :-)
  11. ah bugger, ta anyway, could have sworn it was one in the foto, with yellow numbers. cos the litte roundel looked a bit like i had one in 72nd for a fuel truck
  12. i would agree, although you cant really see the wheels clear in this foto (its one i took other day for the kit n this set i have on the for sale page)
  13. ta. i have one of those very large tins, not a tinlet so should last a week good while until i go back onto rattle cans (if i do)
  14. have fun with it. i had that project in mind (i have the kit, and complete resin cockpit, intakes, wheels, nose and fusalarge lenth as well as metal bits etc, it was made by aardvark but now HA) years ago i started making a FRS1 with the GR3 kit, and the resin FRS1 conversion (before airfix did a FRS1) but never completed it, hope to though this year. i would do various stages as mini kits, cos sometimes its a pain to work on.
  15. i have always wanted to do a OOB. but use left over runners for adding lots of details etc. its still OOB isnt it.
  16. thanks, will give it a try. seems harder to find in stores, so i have to get it off ebay, its £2.45 for a 400ml can but a couple of quid postage, hence will wait until i can get a good few. only used one can and found it much better finish that halfords, and thats what i heard before i tried it
  17. hey ho always used Halfords primer, then went onto hycote but im out of that too, and skint at the moment as i have to buy it online and postage is a killer so wait until i need a lot, but i have found a large humbrol #1 primer tin on the shelf. what does it spray like? i got a 5litre can of thinners today for a tenner (hence im skint for a while) so can i mix the 2 and use it as a nice primer? cos sods law i halfway primed a 48th SU22 and ran of out hycotes lol cheers
  18. nice. i have wanted to do a T55 for a while as DDR. would you sell me that option on that decal sheet? its all i need n cant afford a whole sheet ta
  19. i would take a couple, is it the 40mm one?
  20. ta, i will forget that in 5 min anyway, i was lucky to remember it starteed with a K
  21. tamiya tape isnt made by tamiya. i looked up the company last week, i think begings with K, that is printed on the cardboard inside the roll. they have only just got a distributor in europe, and thats in germany.. i bet its a damn site cheaper to buy than tamiya sell if for. :-/
  22. thanks, spent days going through you tube but couldnt find any with good views. i doubt i will get it perfect but i dont want it totally wrong as someone will once i have done it point that out :-)
