  1. Hasegawa F-86 to be built OOB with kit markings. . . . As you can see it was a VERY productive Labor Day for me!!! ;D
  2. Kit: F-14A Scale: 1:48 Manufacturer: Hasegawa Paints: MM 16440 (Gloss Gull Gray) and MM (36081 (Euro Gray) Decals: Fightertown 48-020 VF-101 Grim Reapers Built OOB
  3. Seats that go "Bang!" (kit offering), washed with Florymodels Dark Dirt, add a few antennas, and ECM blisters . . . next stop -- Final Reveal.
  4. Canopy unmasked . . . only to remember that I still have to assemble/install the bang-seats! Still have some little fiddly bits and some touch ups to go . . . but the finish line is in sight!!!
  5. some WIP pics of my current project, a Hasegawa 1:48 F-14A. *I chose to depict one of the Grim Reaper's Tomcats using the beautiful Fightertown decals. *So here are some progress shots. Started with the kit decals, but they looked too yellow compared to the photo of the real jet on the boxtop, so I scrubbed them and went with the Reaper scheme: Stay tuned . . . more to come . . .
  6. Aires and Brassin both make replacement nozzles for the P&W can...
  7. Nice work, as usual, Lloyd. Flankers are cool....
  8. BAM! Now that Crusader is coming to life! I love the decal stage of building. Looking good, Peter. Keep up the good work. Andy
  9. Very nice. Only one thing missing . . . we need MORE pictures!
  10. Dave, I can't remember which resin pit it was. I know it wasn't True Details. Mine came in a dark cardboard box with yellow/gold lettering. That's all I can remember as I threw the box away and didn't take any pictures of it. If I find it on the net I will let you know . . .
  11. Not sure which parts you are referring to. MY boxing only came with two sizes of fuel tanks and the rocket pods. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance....
  12. That is correct, according to the AeroMaster sheet....
  13. Kit manufacture: Revell Scale: 1/32 Type: Hawker Hunter FGA-9 Extras used: resin pit Paints and colours used: Tamiya acrylics
  14. Fantastic work all around. Love your inflight displays! You really did that AFV Club F-5 justice!
  15. 90% of the decals done . . . whew, that was a lot of stencils! Gas bags painted (still need decals on those, too), rocket pods painted and decaled. Started work on the seat - but still more weathering to do there. But she's coming together nicely. My bonehead-move of this build was gluing to two upper halves of the fuel tanks and the two lower halves of the fuel tanks together. Doh! Yep, they sat welded together with Tamiya extra thin for 2 days until I realized my mistake. Out came the exacto blade to force the halve's apart from each tank so I could correctly mate an upper and lower to form two tanks. It wasn't pretty. Lots of filler and sanding later, I have two presentable fuel tanks now.
  16. first decals are on . . . now to the stenciling . . . yay!
  17. ... so I don't have to squat down so low to check for gear alignment issues when I have it raised on the faom blocks . . . the old knees aren't as limber as they used to be, so I'll take any help I can get! Plus that's where I keep all the tanks and rocket pods, and other little bits inverted on a toothpick...
  18. Been working on this one that I picked up at the Venice, FL show a couple of weeks ago. It's only my second foray into the world of 32nd scale . . . and this is a nice-fitting kit. Anyway, she's on her legs now and I have some more weathering to do and then I'll gloss coat it and get to the decals.
  19. Kit manufacture: Tamiya Scale: 1/48 Type: F-16C/N Extras used: Steel Beach FOD covers, TwoBobs decals, CrossDelta scab plates Paints and colours used: Tamiya Semi-Gloss Black, MM grays
  20. Here is my 8-day build of a Tamiya F-16C/N. Started on 3/15/12 and finished tonight, 3/24/12. Whew! Takin' her to a show tomorrow in Venice, FL! More pics will be posted in the Completed Builds section early next week . . . just a sneak-peak for now.
