  5. Thanks Bob. By fairings I meant the position of scoops on the top and the sides of the engine cover
  6. I intend to build MK636 Wally McLeod Spitfire from EagleCal Decals (http://www.freetimehobbies.com/EL32115/) with VE stripes. My base kit is gorgeous Tamiya Spitfire IXc. There is a lot of debate whether this is a Ixe or ixc. I would like someone to help me clarify if its a IXe or IXc. Whichever wing version it has, I also want to know what type of gun sight, horizontal stabilizers and wheels it had. Also position of fairings. I have been trying to do research on these items but haven't found much.
  7. some more pictures http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10223241

  11. I have been looking for good references of Jumo engines in vain. There are a lot of pictures on the net but they are not clear enough. I want some good pictures to determine which colors to use detailing up the engines. Do you know of any good references or resources to find such pictures? Thanks
  12. Very nice pictures of RAF Bomber Command. Could help in detailing engines, painting and diorama set up. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/uknews/9362206/Bomber-Command-memorial-The-RAF-bombers-of-the-Second-World-War.html?frame=2261407
  13. Take a look at this. This is the best color match I could find http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59196&hl=stalal
  14. On Aires website, I only see Pratt nozzle for Hasegawa. Will that fit?
  15. Does anyone know of an aftermarket Block25/32 jet exhaust nozzle made for Tamiya kit? The kit's nozzle has very disappointing details.

    Mr surfacer

If you use paint brush to put on Mr Surfacer, how do you clean the paint brush after use?
  17. So in terms of exterior details, the one that you plan to build will be similar to one I plan. Is that right?
  18. So you mean Hahen decals at this link have the front radar housing included? http://www.hahen.info/catalog/product_info...aa5n91t1jv3hp24 I m also interested in building a 1/48 German Sea King Mk 41 in camouflage as below http://www.revell.com/germany/aircraft/80-4899.html
  19. I m looking for deflated radome for the Hasegawa Sea King kit. I think its made by Rotor Craft. If anyone willing to sell it, please let me know.
  20. Piero!! You are the best!!! Cant build a kit like this in a lifetime. This model making at its best. Congrats on a great job and would have been nice if you could described how you did such fantastic painting and detail work
  21. I built this kit to compliment Turkish Air Force on its 100th anniversary. This is Tamiya's superb F-16 Block 50 kit with Wolfpack Design detail set for extended navigational lights and Caracal CD48006 - Turkish Air Force F-16C/D Part 1 There is no need to say anything about the kit. But a word or two about the decals is a must. Caracal decals were excellent. Not only had they been well packaged, they very well detailed too. Stencils and markings are comprehensive and decals are very thin that they easily blend in the details. There is a small booklet which details every aircraft covered in the sheet. This is a 'labor of love' from Caracal and it shows in each and every small detail covered in the decals. Most of the decals are clearly readable. The pictures in the following links were my inspiration for building and weathering the aircraft. http://jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?regsearch=94-0088 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Turkey---Ai...ca59322c7fc2d61
  22. By first painting the kit flat aluminum and coating it with semi gloss lacquer. After the paint was finished, Tamiya tape was put on the surface and pulled up abruptly. This was done in random fashion. Hope this helps
  23. Here the pictures of the finished model of superb Tamiya kit In progress link below http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air...p;#entry2232026
  24. Has anyone used this set? Looks good but is pricey. How good are the details? Is it really worth the price? http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/AIRE4161
  25. I m planning to build 48 scale version of Hasegawa G-2. I m going to detail it with Master's turned brass guns and i m thinking of detailing with Aires Detail set for D model, item no. 4161. The Aires set includes engine and gun bay details. The only thing stopping me is the price of Aires set. Do you think Aires set is worth to buy? It is quite expensive.
