    Thanks again, but are there any period photos? All the decal sheets I've found and kits seem to show the wing stripes and every other aircraft seems to have carried them but I'm not convinced about the Shackleton.

    Thanks for all the "stripes" responses. My query started around the Aeroplane Icons publication where I think it says there is no evidence of the stripes being present on the wings. There's also a picture that seems to back this up. Just wondered if there was any definitive pictures one way or the other.

    Does anyone know if the Suez Crisis Shackletons carried invasion stripes on the wings please?

    New decals from Xtradecal show yellow and black stripes on the Shackleton's wings but The Aeroplane Icon publication on the Shackleton says there is no evidence these stripes were carried. Does anyone know for sure if they were there or not? (Fuselage carried them for sure).

    I'm trying to find more information on 77 Squadron Whitley V N1362. Sadly it was lost 11/12 June 1940 with all her crew after a raid on Genoa/Turin. Can anyone help with markings please? Thanks
