You might want to hold off and get a repopped one from Round2 in clear plastic - would be much easier than drilling out hundreds of the tiny windows, whose shape are a git to cut out. Im in the same boat myself - should I get the new one or just continue the original? hmmmm ....

quick heads up on the reissued MF - I got mine today and rather surprised it turned up 4 days after I got the message saying it had shipped from HLJ. No customs charge either, which I found odd but sweet! wasnt expecting the box to be as big as it is lolol!!!

I saw one of these kits at telford - but for some reason, I didnt buy it! wasnt too extortionate, like 30 quid or something. I dont know what came over me, I had just bought a compressor and I think buyers guilt got the better of me. I regret it a bit now. And sorry - forgot to mention, Nice build !

had the same problem also with revell's 1/48 GR 7/9 , I was cheeky to email hasegawa and make like it was one of theirs and got a replacement within a week. Still waiting on revell lol. Bell up Airfix or mail them they should replace it for you.

lucky sods - this is one of my grail kits! I summed up the courage to purchase an anigrand , only to find out they got the C&D about a week prior. grrr..... great work - is gonna look awesome! however ..... the ability to create a star destroyer is insignificant next to the power of the FORCE.

A very clean and well executed build there - top stuff. I built one of these myself recently and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I didnt dare try the cable that goes vertically to the fuselage though not with my shaky hands lol

Ive been using Mr Muscle window and glass cleaner to strip tamiya paints. It whips it off in seconds!! As an added bonus, I recently botched a king tiger build which I had primed with Tamiya spray. poured some into a tupperware container and soaked the model in there for a few minutes, and the paint fell away, leaving the primer totally untouched!! I also use it to clean out my airbrush.

Seriously, are you doing all the fabrication with just that lathe and that mill? Incredible!! Cant believe I never saw this thread until now, Cain is one of my fav robots, and you sir are an incredible talent. Cant wait to see him finished up!

Ah - the memories! I built most of the halcyon alien kits in the 90's Wish I could have another round at them now ... They seem to go for lofty prices these days ...
