I think that there is an unmarked line that most figure modellers keep to. I think the figure above crosses it with the marine on the right. Besides which the left hand side of the diorama is much more dynamic and it's weaker on the right hand side. That marine's a weak spot in several ways in my view. Comes down to well painted, but not so keen on....

This is great news, Modelzone currently have a lot on sale, but Galactica's still weighing in at a massive £51.99 in store.

A little shorter, about 470mm. Mine's still on the bench...next in line after a Spitfire.

Looking good, I picked up the same in the Harrogate store along with the Revell Willhelm Bauer. Seems a stange sale! Very little else was on offer. Looking forward to seeing this.

Thanks all, the zoom kit is worth every penny. Tanks Brendan, it's not shown in the instructions. Very carefully adjusted it tonight...not perfect but better... Not adding much if anything else... Little filling needed along the fuselage join. Tomorrow's job, the wing join and gluing the front fuselage into place.

I've always wanted to build one of these and now have the time to get one finished using the F/A-18C and the Eduard zoom cockpit kit. Started yesterday, build time so far around 6 hours... Day 1. Just a little hacking at the seat to prepare it for the zoom kit, then get your glasses out.. Noticed the buckles on the shoulder harness look wrong, instructions don't give any help, just too wide? Don't know if I'll do anything about it yet. Day 2

Lovely job Andy! Just cleared of the workbench today and put the Academy 1/72 c on the desk. Box is open, bags still sealed. It's either that or a bash on a Dragon Wagon into recovery mode. Highly tempting to rip open those bags now!

Thanks all for the kind comments. Wasn't happy with the base, so had another go. Still lacking some details somehow, but I think it's an improvement. Been working on a load, PzKpfW III M at the moment, will finish it off and leave it on until something better comes along.

I realised my first too kits were taking too long for me, they're still WIP, so I started building 1/72. Small, and quick to see progress. Almost finished the load for the Wagon. There's also a limit to what I can do to them.
