Panzerjäger I (late version) 1/35 - DRAGON
robw_uk replied to Patrykd's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
that is stunning..... think next build for me needs to include PE. have the soldering iron so need to learn this skill...... -
great work. Do like the look of this kit, may have to add one to the stash
-
Paint on .. all paints MiG Ammo ... Green = various NATO green + light green khaki Sand = various Dunkelgelb + desert sand...
-
More progress. Upper structure built but inly placed, gun finished. Now to add the final few extras and do the tracks
-
First paint of 2023 sees the Rosomak get primed.....
-
found leftover Wespe PE so that gives me exhaust mesh and gran handles. Need to think how this would've evolved in to active service. With a crew of 3 not much stowage but I can envisage some (no room inside) and perhaps a camo net somewhere.... may have to see if I can find a german standing crewman, all my tamiya ones are used now... my winter para ones are all crouching so could try mashing legs & body!!
-
Thinking I might add a small roof like the Dicker Max... Bit of aerial protection
-
Here's hoping the upper surfaces still fit.... Should do
-
Little bit of budding today. Added the recoil brace (travel position) and started on the gun. Also started on the "what if" part with an oil can rack for 2 fuel cans.left the spare tools in the loft for some reason so they will go on later. Also found Pak 38 crew from dragon but none of them are posed in a way they could go in the vehicle so think that's a none starter....

Great work. This has given me some ideas for money, need to raid the spares box -
Very nice. Love the extra tools
-
Thanks, do you have photos of your build??
-
Thanks both. Build might be done but painting has to wait for Wespe and Rosomak to be done..... Anyway, step 4 puts the roof on the drivers compartment and starts the fighting compartment.... Will leave side off to allow painting and weathering....
-
Progress 9n the final figure.... 1990s Tamiya German soldier and bike....
-
Step 3 and it's wheels (very fiddly as so small) and more of the superstructure.... So far so good
-
Step 2 sees the front fenders, rope loops and the start of the running gear....
-
You wish is my command.... Step one sees the body build start..... And boy this is a small vehicle (compare against 1/35 Wespe)
-
Just catching up on builds. Great work. This kit is one I would like, need to build a few more first to make space
-
Small Christmas present will be next build. Das Werk Pz Sfl 1a paper anti tank gun. Will do in dunkelgelb and winter white scheme.....
-
Nice work so far. Did this progress further? Got this kit for Christmas, will probably start with the Jeep then come.back.to the Patton at some point
-
In what is probably my last modelling day of 2022 I have continued with the diorama. First run of tracks on, wooden crates finished. Need rest of tracks on and both weathered and then the infantryman's bike painted and loaded up....

cheers Roger, need some paint time which will be in the New year, but close yes
-
Muddied the running gear.... Needs painting to match the base then need to look at the tracks again....
-
Main build done.... Mesh screens were a bit of a pain BUT most images of this configuration outside of the parade ground show them battered and bent so that's what I am running with.. don't think I will get the primer started until the New Year tho.....
