Not suree on adding the false muzzle on the barrel, it does have a big gap (to be expected) but if I look at my reference photo you can see it is an odd shaped on the top...

67/83 links for first track run..... 4 parts per link but the supplied jig makes it quite simple

Finally masked the first colour (black)... I know I will need to be careful of paint running under the mask but low pressure should be my friend (I hope)....

Lovely detail in his kit but some fiddle... Running gear done, started on upper hull. The also had a look at the tracks. 6 links done in about 3 min so not too bad.....

Finally got round to starting weathering.... But of oil dot (seem to be struggling with this technique at the moment) and then some dirt/debris in upper corners (will be painted when i have the lower weathered so tones all match)....

Suspension started, quite complicated.... And exhaust area added..... Guess at some point I need to consider tracks!!!!

I must be utterly bonkers..... Started to mask up the black areas using circuit type adhesive vinyl sheet pinned under a copy of the paint scheme ..... 2 main sides done.....

More work on the rear .... And again with the upper hull just fitted to the lower....

And seeing if I can mask like the scheme I want to do.... And I can, but will have to outline the pattern as it wasn't easy to see where to cut the tape....

in the 2nd image is that wood along the side (that the tanker is leaning on)?

Going to play with this kit, slight what if as will add German track armour (pz IV and panther tracks) and possibly "fake muzzle". There are enough images of tanks with tracks plastered all over and the muzzle for me to take inspiration

There's a link below on the Austin build I did for a group build a while ago which may be of help to you..

cheers Ed - I was tempted to leave them off untill all painted - think masking the smaller shapes for the scheme could be fiddly with them on

change of plan on the muzzle, going for a "fake" break (vertical line) and then white wavy to the end of the barrel....
