  1. Turret furniture started.... And fugue visible don't know if he will be in the turret or on the engine deck yet ...
  2. Bit of what-iffery with the decals ... Next up Matt varnish then the winter whitewash.... Might get that done this weekend
  3. My build for this will be the very old Fujimi F7U-3p Cutlass (photo-recce bird)... the only plane in my stash.... Probably wont be very good but will try to do an NMF finish..... Photos to follow once the build starts
  4. Cheers Roger. Weathering will be after the winter whitewash... Hair chipping technique
  5. Bit of modulation and detail painting (and impromptu chipping on one of the fuel cans (but think it looks ok). Next up will be gloss varnish then decals......
  6. great work... do like seeing someone take a shell and fill it out - and enjoy doing it myself... looking forward to more
  7. great looking build. look forward to seeing the paint go down
  8. And dunkelgelb (MiG Ammo mid war). Not sure if I will modulated the base colour as it will be whitewashed... Then again would be practice at it so probably will next weekend ..
  9. Lovely coverage as always from UMP primer
  10. IBG 1/35 KTO Rosomak. Painted sort of like a reference photo with turret number 16. Didn't add the engine as you won't see it but did add some crew gear....
  11. Final few fiddly pieces done and it's finished .... Really enjoyed the build....
  12. Fiddly mesh armour added... Actually not too bad apart from the rear quarter struts which aren't long enough to reach the hill from the armour for some reason.... But not really noticeable...... Just rear doors, wing mirrors and rear step to add them she is done......
  13. thanks George. I have ummed and ahhed a few times on various kits but this one is just perfect.... hope I can do it justice.... and if I do, I am thinking my super Pershing (when I build it) may get some crew too
  14. Wheels on.... That's a big step.... Dust done.... Detail work underway. Hope to have it finished for next weekend....
  15. Would a 1/4 tonne utility truck (or a Jeep) be acceptable? Plan to load it with stowage rather than the .50 cal
  16. Sooooo small but fighting compartment has come together.... Bit of weathering with chipping and then dirt and leaf litter held with VMS sand and ballast freeze (likely to need a touch of Matt varnish when dry)
  17. no progress since the last update BUT have taken the plunge and ordered my first resin figure. There is a nice DEF model Korean US tanker for winter 50/51 that is perfect for this kit... may put in turret or mount standing on engine deck, will see
  18. Can't see it very well but started on a slight bit of weathering. Frist it was panel lines. Will do some very light chipping and scuffs....
  19. Ooohhhh it's beginning to look like a tank ..
  20. With the aid of a new compressor and a new .5mm needle in my nacky old airbrush the interior parts have been primed.....
  21. that was the reasoning behind the BartSharp..... and why the H&S needs cleaning (and possibly a new needle - which will cost more than the new A/B
  22. well actually my original chinese AB130 is not overly usable so will turn it in to the primer/varnish mule with a new .5mm needle. The H&S is OK, needs another good clean, so added a BartSharp 186 to the mix - yes cheap but within my budget it seemd a good choice.....
