  3. cheers Si - and oi, i was working - conferences are very taxing (honest)...
  4. thanks for all the comments guys...... finally back home and had a bit of quiet time this afternoon so out with the copper.... bomb-bay progressing, just for & aft bulkheads, side frames, some sloping units of the flat area at the front and then the actual bomb racks.... must say it looks about 80% like the photos i am working form so happy.....
  5. mine is at home - will see if i can sneak it out the wrapping and photo the sprues before santa gets it... i think VF111 looks like a nice scheme - am sure I built the VF84 one 25+ years ago - MAtchbox or Airfix I would guess.......
  6. very nice... Really enjoyed this one progressing....
  7. kit lined up _new hobbyboss 1/72 f-14a... Not sure which markings I will go for yet, will wait to get my hands on it (once santa has wrapped it and popped down the chimney!).... Looking forward to this now, will be OOB to take my mind off the pesky helldiver (of course when I look at refs I may hack her up to open some panels)
  8. stunning as always..... And that skyraider... Can't wait to see what yo do with it…
  9. I will second this and add Nobby in there too. There are a few on here I really look forward to seeing updates from (and getting comments on my work too)..... anyway, enough of the love-in.... Hola from madrid and get some pics up Si... I need a 105 fix to keep me sane.....
  10. cheers Lucas, its a fun kit - am enjoying it - and its not put me off buying others if they are the ones that I need..... anyway - no photo, done a bit more work on the bomb-bay "roof", it now has some wiring, junction boxes and "horizontal" bomb housings (not sure exactly what they are called but the 3 pieces that run horizontally across the bomb-bay.. next will be the bomb rack and some more bits... anyway - a week away with work means no progress this coming week, but just a ocuple of hours today has given me a little boost so hope to get really in to the swing on my return.....
  11. yam a mad bugger Si...... that engine is great, mad but great
  12. Mike, are there any dimensions forr this (wings out, wings folded and length?). Wondering if it would be a similar size to a 1/72 F-14.... fed up a little with grey planes (mind I ilke the red-tailed Hobby Boss F-14 (plus I am up for the F-14 GB starting next year.....)
  13. wow.... wont comment on the modelling (its very good) but your photography... really like your use of DoF, lighting etc.... i usually ddo that when my kits are finished, WiP shots are just quick snaps......
  14. shows how much I know ;-) lol.... answers that question - way too big
  15. think this build will be my reference when I do the 1/72 version - but think I will use the kit gun rather than build one myself ;-) fab work Si
  16. thats it - am calling the doctor... - i got the engine, quite a big part, but the gun?? turning??? out of interest, what is your background? how do you know about all the fiddly electrical component wiring stufF?
  17. cheers guys - no progress this last week.... maybe this week will see some more work
  18. just seen the electronics bays...... wow... the only thing that makes me happy that you are not some insane small person able to work miracles is that this is 1/48 and not 1/72 ;-).... but man thats stunning
  19. oohhh just finished a 1/72 Prowler and always like seeing them in unusual schemes....
  20. now that does look something special - and you are doing it justice....
  21. thanks Lenny, all, it is definately an "interesting" kit but actually for a 1973 mold the fit (at least the fuselage halves) isnt too bad..... it should work up into a relatively nice little addition
  22. we seem to have an E3A Sentry orbiting over North Tyneside/Newcastle Airport
