As a result of the close-down of the UK by the British Government last night, we have made all the Buy/Sell areas read-only until we open back up again, so please have a look at the announcement linked here.

  1. According to Wojtek Matusiak's Zumbach Donalds ISBN 83-916229-4-0 there were 3 Mk. Vb with Donald Duck emblems: BM144 ( with 2 different emblems to complicate things), EP594 and EN951. Donald Duck emblems where getting bigger on each subsequent Spitfire. New tool Revell's Spitfire Mk. Vb (03897) has decals for EN951. EDIT: Just realized the picture you've attached is for replicated EN951.

  3. Spitfire Mk. I 1/48 OMG!!! Add new Eduard and reissued Airfix and talk about being spoilt
  4. Wojtek writes: 'Our next models will be selected from among popular international themes, preferably, though not always in connection with Polish aviation.'
  5. It was price before shipping charges. I bought several more kits taking advantage from 25% discount. Shipping in my case was circa the price of 2x 1/48 Spitfire Overtrees kits (CZK 439).
  6. I paid for mine CZK 1271.25 after BFC -25%. Still £42 for brand new Royal Class set is really good value.
  7. Pre-order available: http://www.armahobby.com/70035-hawker-hurricane-mk-iic-expert-set.html No free overtrees this time it seems.
  8. Finished in 10hrs by its designer: http://armahobbynews.pl/en/blog/2019/10/15/yak-1b-model-quick-built-in-10-hours/
  9. Rivet counting taken to the extreme. Mr Sztarbala is using a microscope to check the surface of the wings. OMG PS. I know he says it's only done to extend the length of the review.
  10. Airfix calendat 2019 that arrived today with my copy of AMW has a picture of Concorde ( A05107V) in November. It looks however that V in code means Vintage Classics. Other pictures: Royal Horse Artillery A00731V, Wellington A08019, Golden Hind A09258V + Cutty Sark A09253V, Skyhawk A-4B A03029A, Male Tank A01315V, Mini Cooper S A55310, WWI British Infantry A00727V, Sea Fury FB 11 Export Edition A06106, Bismarck A04204V + Hood A4202V, Blenheim Mk If A09186, Hunter F.6 A09185. Front has Blenheim repeated. No hint here I'm afraid.
  11. Unfortunately, according to the newest Airfix Club Magazine Wellington will be released in June. Website still says May though.
  12. I was thinking the same but then I've checked the Airfix calendar. It says the new issue will appear next Thursday ( 11/01) so I reckon the delay had to be decided at least two months ago - before calendar went to the print shop. The same applies to February and March issues ( both on 8th). In the remaining months it's back to first Thursday of the month.
