  1. Thanks Dads203, hopefully this will be my first 'completed' build in a long, long time, Indeed he does Hawkkeper, got Live Resin's new figures ordered, so two side gunners will have some the groovie Preaditor face masks ! Chris.
  2. Cheers Mobydog, thanks for stoppingby, I just added a few more pictures. Chris.
  3. Well folks, it has been a long time since I last posted, usual story of life and work commitments, but I thought I would share this one with you all. It is a ‘What-If’ Post Apocalyptic build of a ‘blockage-runner’. Based on the Bronco Models Buffalo for the body, chassis and wheels. The rest is a combination of evergreen stock, spare PE and Live Resin bits and bobs. I will let the pictures do the rest, hope you all like. Chris.
  4. Here's motivation Fast and low Bone Chris.
  5. Hey Dave, By no means an expert, but externally I think it is just the addition of a sniper pod. Not sure if JDAMS are carried externally. I have the last two combat aircraft editions that has an article on the Bone. Might also have a airforces monthly with similar article. If interested drop me a PM and I can post them to you. Chris.
  6. A little progress, side walls filled up, ready for a coat of filler and sanding. Chris.
  7. The Defensetech website has regular updates on the F-22 story. now it seems that ground crew who are working near it when engines are running are also suffering from Hypoxia like symptons. Maybe what ever is being pumped out of the engines, or even whatever the thing is coated in. Defensetech Chris.
  8. PM on its way Brian, a big thanks for your help. chris.
  9. Thanks Brian, looks promising. Can I ask what thickness it is? Chris.
  10. Hi folks, It’s been a while since i have been on, not much time for anything at the minute never mind modelling. Latest project is a scratch built ‘Riverine Patrol Craft’ in 1/35, similar to that used by USN SEALS. The dimensions and proportions are based on a little guess work, from pictures on the net, and I will be more than happy if it looks the part. I did a little sketching, and got Precision Engineering Solutions to laser cut me the frame. Here is a picture, of what I am aiming for; Sheet parts cut, just pop off with little clean up needed. Construction so far. Big problem, I have is how to skin the side wall. Suggestions as to how to skin the frame, are more than welcome.
  11. Just got my hands on one of Jon's worksations. Very nice in deed, compact and to the point, just what i need to keep things in order and at hand. Highly recomended indeed, and delivered within 48hrs. Chris.
  12. Looks like a model in its own right. HET is on my to do/get list, not sure if I'd venture done this route, but will definitely get their the up-armoured cab set. Chris
  13. Does anyone know, who in the UK sells Mr Surfacer?. Cheers. Chris.
  14. Thanks for the steer. Actually managed to get two from a shop in Germany called Sockelshop. Going to try and do a SF what-if. Any more update pictures Nige?. Chris.
  15. Hey Mick, I couldn't find any UK or even Asian suppliers who have the panda set in stock. I did however manage to buy 2 sets from a German company called Sockelshop, in fact just bought this morning. Priced at just under €35 + P&P. Not bad, considering availability and the detail/content the kit reputidly has. (arrived today (Friday),3 days not bad at all) The web site is:- http://www.sockelshop.de/catalog/advanced_...c0f137188737e14 I have ordered a few times from them, and items dispatched same day as order and arrived to N.Ireland within 3 to 4 days, so all round great service. Hope this helps. Chris.

    FOB "R-0423"

Well it has been some time since I last posted on update on this project, looking at the dates Its hard to believe that it has been nearly 3 months. It stalled somewhat before and after Christmas, but hopefully I am back on track. Here are some pictures. Chris.
  17. Hey Nige, This looks great, Ive been watching your build on armourama, and m glad you posted it here too. I have the Vajara set, and may just put it to one side and get this plastic version instead. Did you get it in the UK or from abroad, i have been looking for UK sellers, but can only see the Kinetic version. Anyway, keep up the good work, your notes on the instructions and build sequence will save me a lot of time when I get around to getting this one. Regards, Chris.
  18. Heres some close ups of the M240, M249 and some accessories. Figures are also planned for some time this year. Chris.
  19. Just a quick update of Live Resins latest releases. I got a few of their previous releases, and they are excellent. Quality and detail is exceptional. Great for modern armour fans. Chris.
  20. Im actually going to do my two into a bit of a 'what-if', based on the UKSF 'Menacity' platform. Weapon load out will be twin .50 Cal's, M240B's, M249's so no need for a L129 at present. More than happy to go halfers on the L129's, as it will come in handy some day !!, I also have loads of packs which may alos be of use to you. PM me details and I'll send you the ££. Chris.
  21. Here you go Dave. Pictures are all self explanatory (too many parts, so just took a sample) Chris.
  22. No bother Dave, I will take some tomorrow in daylight and post up. A wash down in warm (not hot) soapy water (removes the release agent), and then just a lot of time to to remove the parts from the moulding blocks (use a fine razor saw) and plenty of sanding down. Use a dust mask, as the resin dust aint too good for the lungs !. You will need a selction of Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) . I use Zap CA Thin (like water and used only with precision applicator) and Slo-Zap (gives about 30 seconds to position and 60 seconds to cure), The Model Shop in Queen Street sells it. Chris. Hope this helps. Chris.
  23. Hi Dave, I got two of the Accurate armour COYOTE UK TSV(L)'s just before Christmas. definately worth the money. As with all resin kits, the key is the prep work. Not sure where about you are, but you are more than welcome to have a look at it to see the quality/detail etc. before you buy. Im in Carryduff/Belfast if that is close. Alternatively I can take some detailed pictures and send on. Chris.
  24. It is a razor wire product made by 'the army painter'. Does not look like razor wire at all. http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/...e23f1fe194fbfea All I did was straighten it out, and attach with a few lengths of the wire mesh tied in a knot, and superglued at the top. Could be achieved by winding some wire/solder round some brass wire. An alternative, which is a lot more expensive (but not too painful if your only doing a few), is to use a mesh made by scale link. It has the proper 'weld wire' mesh appearance instead of the woven mesh I used. With this you could actually make proper hinges, by cutting off the outermost vertical wire then wrapping the horizontal 'tails' around a brass rod, and repeat on the other side to join them together. http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Meshes___Mailles.html I will take some pictures of the finished cages over the next few days and post them up. If you like, send me a PM with your address, and I'll send you some mesh and army painter razor wire. Chris.
  25. Check these out, Prop Blurs, to simulate spinning props. 3 and 4 prop blades in 1/48 and 1/72 available. Picture by Dave Beswitherick from PropBlur web site. http://www.propblur.com/ Steve, I certainly is a monster. Chris.
